I hear the laughter in the background.... Is anyone using the Raceroom Controller? How can I change the sensitivity of the throttle button? Hard to "roll-on" the throttle. It's either off or full throttle. Have Neuropathy of the feet so I'm finally trying to use the Raceroom Controller I bought 5 years ago.
I´ve disassambled an old Raceroom Controller and an expert told me the throttle and brake are not pressure sensitive. But through long corners it is possible to have half throttle. Do you use the second button (to the back) for brake and throttle, too?
Just a sidenode: If you still running Windows 8 or lower your fine to use them. Windows 10 will not work. Thats what the store says.
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the armpits of Microsoft!!! that just sucks. Thanks for the info. ***edit*** Wait....I'm using Win10 for years. And I'm able to use the Raceroom controller. So someone is not 100% accurate.
I wanted to tear it apart and put a stronger spring in it. I guess that won't make a difference. I'm not sure how it is setup. I was trying to do that now. well this is a bummer. I bought this Raceroom controller as a backup. I'm guessing it's too late for a refund after 5 years?
After further review, the Raceroom controller is not playable. The steering is no longer smooth & progressive like a wheel and more like Jerky movements of a Joystick or keyboard. Whereas the throttle button was really sensative - now, the button requires ALL THE FORCE I can muster with my finger to keep it at full throttle down a straightaway. So yeah, maybe it doesn't work under windows 10.
@Azfalt Raser then you are lucky because: https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/list_page?cat=22 and thats the official side.
Yeah, I didn't think about it but I was using Win7 when I purchased the wired controller. Too bad. As I mentioned, I have loss of feeling & pain in my feet, so using pedals has become almost impossible.
What are your steering settings? My steering used to be so smooth and easy....now it's really jerky like I'm steering with a keyboard. Been watching all the sim racing (F1 Legends, Aussie Supercar all-stars, current F1 guys....) and I'm dying to get back to it. hmmm. I wonder what I have to do to get hand controls for brake and throttle for a steering wheel setup? ala Robert Wickens.
First in setup: steering sensitivity to 9 --> this will make the biggest difference. The lower, the less jerky. Sorry I don´t now the exact english game names because my game language is german: Then in options: Speed dependant steering: 50 Min steering speed: 60 Max steering speed: 180 Analog area 1 : 1,6 Analog area 2 : 1,7 Analog area 3: 1,8 Steering return rate: 2 (if you have this too high it will result also in snappy steering) Steering sensitivity: 20% (this means that small steering inputs near the center steering wheel postion will result in only low steering action). I suggest you change only 1 setting at a time to observe the results. I hope this helps!
I use PS4 pad , and my setting are about that: Speed dependant steering: 65 Min steering speed: 65 Max steering speed: 180 analog area 1 : 1,8 analog area 2 : 1,8 analog area 3: 1,8 Steering return: 1,9 Steering sensitivity: 23% The problem on PS4 pad is that the brake(L2) and gas(R2) buttons (proporzional command) the last 5mm of press are already at max
