Not a review, since it is an very early built, but my first impressions and assessment: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...essions-and-feedback.50941/page-2#post-988308 I do not know what I should think of the graphcis in normal weather, however. Not sure I rate the looks as an improvement over AC's engine. Colour scheme however is great, very close-to-real-life.
Don't know...can't check since I am still on vacation. But when I change BB (with rotary dial) I see the numbers changing on screen...in AC that is. I assumed it would be the same in ACC (top center of my middel screen, pale yellowish numbers/text line).
In ACC the BB/TC numbers only appear in the hud when you have the gear/rev counter on at the moment. The thing I dislike right now is the horrible blue tint that exist whilst in the cockpit..Aslo I think the glassy look of the track in Stormy weather is abit extreme..
I just had asked about that violet glow in night cockpit in their forum, too. Somebody replied, saying that it is like that in real lfie as well, probbaly a dimmed background light to enable the driver seeing the unlit parts of dashboard and sidepanels that at night would be in pitch black darkness if not having another car behind him or currently driving under a lightpool or some part of the track that gets lit up by light poles. At the same time the glow is such that it does not affect night vision. TC, ABS and break baölance indeed need a better solution than there is now. I imagine those tiny fonts become evern worse to see in VR, and who says I want to use the HUD all the time anyway? The track performance display in the top right corner also is misplaced, and too big, it covers the onboard mirror. It should be switchable on/off without needing to switch off ALL HUD elements (F2). A simple number setting at the very top of the screen that disappears again after two seocnds or so - that is how they should mark changes to TC, ABS. Well - very early first release.
So it is either a bug or a bad decision. I never use the gear/rev counter. I hope they will fix it (after they fix the lock horizon function). But as it seems by reading all impressions on the different forums, there is a LOT to fix...
Actually TC and ABS levels are also displayed on top right and top left corner of the Huracans display. Atm I don't know by heart if BB is also displayed on those various pages of the display.
Well did think that myself, but the blue glow disappears when it's raining. As for the performance display covering the onboard mirror, it doesn't cover it totally but the mirror doesn't seem to show anything anyway, but as we know it's only the 1st round.
There are two mirrors, the big one in centre popsition, and the modelled small one as in a real car. I have not understood the lgoic when the latter gets shown and when not. But when it is there, it gets completly covered by the performance display.
What kind of system specs do you need the game to run half decently ? What gpu? Does the game support sli?
On sounds. IMO they are one of the most obvious and dramatic improvements. https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/audio-monkey-hear-monkey-do.51069/ Sorry to say, but Racerooms dominance in the sound department is no more. I mean, ACC sounds awesome. .
it had to happen sooner or later. And it's a good progression. R3E showed 'em all for YEARS how to do it. I just wonder why it took so long that someone actually is on par with raceroom or above.
This is the Steam entry for specs. Note that these specs are not finalised. When you consider how much time is left, you can safely say that it will be a good Sim at the end And the Unreal Engine is defently a good Option for Raceroom as well. I'm curious to see which way sector3 will go in the future. Nobody can deny that ACC does not look phenomenal already
I'm not really happy with the first release. Graphics and sounds are cool. FFB is okay, cars handling and AI not in my eyes. From the driving feels I cannot imagine to drive a league with it. (on this state) Now I'm awaiting throwing stones at me
I picked it up (at $19.99 on Green Man Gaming why not). Barebones but I expected that. What I didn't expect is the awful wheel support thus far. On my TX I cannot get my paddles to work. I set them in settings but they won't change gears on track. For now I'm in yuck "automatic" mode.
