So, took some laps right now. Just testing...look good, no complains from my side, just i can not load my setup :-( Sound of the Bentley is amazing
Its a VR recording. "Inside the car" it is absolutely smooth. Rund and looks great (only tested solo practice). I guess the recording does not take every frame for saving performance.
Cockpit immersion in VR in ACC 0.2 is very good, but there is no lock-to-horizon yet, and so i get nausea from driving it currently. Usually I am not vulnerable to nausea at all. Lock to horizon is a must. In RR as well, a workaround should not be needed, there should be an in-game-option (doing what the known workaround does). Essential function vor VR players.
Just Personal preference. I like it better without a strict LTH but with some subtle cockpit movement
yeah fully locked to horizon doesn't make any sense unless you have a motion rig that can simulate the movements itself . A slight disconnect between where the car is pointing and where your head is pointing is the most ideal case imo, creates a more immersive feeling of the car also moving around you slightly, but your head locked to the car still makes so much more sense than locked to the horizon. Though I can understand LTH might be good for people that get motion sickness really easily, but maybe VR in general isn't the best idea in that case..
. Strongly disagree on this. Full LTH is an absolute must for me (prone to motion sickness). The car can move a bit, no issues there, but I want my horizon stable (just like IRL where eyes/brain/inner ear work together to get the same result).
Yeah, you mean like pC2 is handling it ? If you set WM to stabilize the horizon and then pick a track with elevation changes, you either are looking at your pedals or at your roof (depending if you are going up or down)... ridiculous...
Then you should take a look at AC with RHM (real head movement) mod. THAT is how it should look. You seem to totally miss the point here.
You said you wanted full LTH, which is not what RHM is, RHM is pretty much exactly what I described, where the camera still follows the car, but with a slight disconnect between the two. Almost like a low-pass filter to stop the camera shaking too much over bumps etc.
Sorry, but again, you are presuming wrong. There are enough sliders to set the view up to your likings, or to have complete LTH. I used RHM in rF2 too, but rF2 finally made some changes, thus making it not necessary any more.
Not presuming anything, just reading what you said.. All I’m saying is that a lot of people talk about ‘lock to horizon’ when that is not at all what they are referring to.
