Currently, I'm racing in an ACC league and I can tell you physical damage is there, a slight touch from the back can cause significant loss of rear downforce, sometimes it even feels a bit overexaggerated, it's not possible to continue withaout a bodywork fix, front damage can also cause noticable inbalance in the cars behavior.

Speaking of visual damage, I can't tell you much because I'm yet to suffer a heavy crash, haha. These GT3's are not particularly hard to drive if you ask me.

Thanks guys. I don't care about visual damage, but to me it really kills immersion when car is fine after hitting a wall at 200kh/h like nothing happened. Sounds like it is no longer the case with ACC, good. Do cars lose wheels? Is it possible to kill engine, gearbox? Do engines stall?

Also, is anyone enjoying ACC in VR nowadays? I hear not so great things about VR support...

VR is a blast for me, excellent, although it has some Unreal4-related artifacts - I do not note them anymore, they are beloy the treshhold level were I would feel concerned. However, temps are 10° above anything else I cnja throw at my CPU. The load is immense, no other game pushes the rig this far to the limits. If your system is not optimal for VR I can imagine you might see inferior performance in VR. Its already pure stress for the CPU and GPU in 2D. Tone down shadows and other options that in VR you do not take note of as far as you do in 2D. I also have limited car field to 25, to gain some "manouver space".

You can stall engine, ruin gears, and tires. I had to end laps and sessions and go back to box on feet. Steering can add up "negative effects". :)

Visually not much happens. Stzefanop once said they are not eager to simulate visual damage too well, because then wrecking cars would become more attractive and even see wreckers in MP getting rewarded.

ACC is a specialist for GT3 cars, and the tracks it includes, and this series. On these matters, its second to none.

It's not great if I'm honest, but I can tolerate it. My config (see my signature) is only enough for 80 Hz without supersampling and almost every graphics setting set to the lowest possible option. But at least I can participate in 24+ car races with only occasional mild stuttering.

Well, there's no Safety Car still AFAIK, which is present in real series, so above is a bit of an overstatement IMHO.

Good to know physical damage is there, as I said I don't care about visuals, I am not in for a wreckfest, it is all about autsport immersion, and indestructible cars really harm immersion.

    Thanks for the info guys.

I just reiterate my point. The content and focus of ACC is limited - but what it it does and focusses on it does better than anyone else. If you want to drive GT3 cars in the most sophisticated fashion possible by current market choices, ACC is the to-go-to sim. Its "the" GT3 simulator in town, so to speak.

I'm happy got my first CP win tonight, 60min race with mandtory pit at Silverstone, the CP races for the most are great fun, and can be such hard work at the same time, but so rewarding as well.

How can you see which cam is currently active in ACC? I see 3 type of dashboard cams but non of them tell me which cam it is.
    Which cam do you use?

    there are 3 cockpit views:
    1. Dashboardview
    2. Driver View
    3. Helmet cam

in driver view you have the option to show/hide hands+steeringwheel. I use that view (there are no names for the views in ACC).
To adjust to a realistic seat position I use the helmetcam with height+distance set to 0 as a reference and then replicate that in the driver view.

Thanks. Will give it a try. I really do love they way I can setup my triple setup in ACC. Very flexible and intuitive way.
