No offense Vilas! (just personal opinion...) but these views you're using remind me of this

Yeah, I don't get it either. Sure it looks cool, but that perspective makes as much sense as the view for most first person shooters. People get used to a certain view, regardless of whether it looks like that in real life or not, and then they come to expect it. Whatever makes people happy, I suppose. I'll stick to cockpit view with a zoomed in FOV since that most accurately depicts what I actually see looking forward out of my seat in a car.

    Hi !

Do you know if its possible to change the height of the swingman cam ? I tried it but i only can set it higher...but not lower.

    I want a lower swingman cam :(

You can use the numpad to adjust the swingman cam, press 2 on the numpad to lower it.

You missunderstood me. I know how to lower the camera....but thats not enough for me. The camera is still too high in my opinion. I found the camera files and i changed some lines but i guess you cannot lower the camera. There must be a hardcoded limit on it right ?

I will post two pics to show you what i mean later.
    Edit: Here are the pics.

    pcars camera.jpg

You can adjust the cam like you want in PCars. But the height of the R3E cam is the lowest i can get with numpad 2. I only can adjust it higher with numpad 8. Same keys like in rfactor 1 ;)

That's not quite what you said in your first post, is it?

I don't think you can lower the angle further than you can with the numpad, not sure tho.
What I think might be possible would be lowering the overall height of the camera, but I can't try atm. Which lines did you change in the swingman cam file?

    Hi !

I tried to change the following line in the swingman_mid.xml of the BMW Z4 GT3

    <translationOffset type="Vector">{0.0000000 1.9000 5.0000}</translationOffset>

When u change it maybe to 1.0000 the cam is nearly above the car. So i decided to increase that value to the opposite (8.0000 for example) but the camera don't come down. Like i said its hardcoded i guess. You cannot make it lower :)
