Driving Nissan 300, pressing clutch down and then let sink engine revs to idle speed, transmission remains in neutral until you apply throttle, though next gear is shifted and clutch is released already. So there is no decelerating with engine brake. This happens with autoclutch set and using clutch anyway. Edit: using h-shifter
