Background screens too bright?

On several of the menu screens, the devs have elected to have a white so bright that it can't be replicated on fabric without relying on a 90° wash.

As my single monitor is fairly close to my eyes (risking squaring me ole peepers off!) when driving, and even closer when I reach forward for the keyboard, this whiteness is horrible. (For want of a stronger word)

A nice calming light blue would be better.

I am with this, Mints, its a small detail but all great things are made of small details. I never understood this choice from Sector3 but as nothing is modable apart from cameras we have to live with it.
If the devs could put this wish on the (long) list ?

Actually...I think there's a clue in there.

 

I also considered a welding helmet so I could just flip the visor up and down.
Currently I just squint.

 

Or perhaps, my preferred method, close one eye.
Then it will be just, half as bad as before.
Have you considered, 'net-curtains'?
For your screen, not you eyes..

 

or perhaps you balance your screens brightness to the white and then it isnt so bright ,?
i did this and i have a 50" screen a little more than 80cm from my nose and have no issues

Not bothering me that much, but yes, something easier on the eyes would be nice.

 

I liked the DTM experience skin myself. But hey, just be glad you missed the radial menu.

TBH, I like it more than the actual one...

 

I wish I had!
It was this interface that caused me to uninstall R3E the second time around. It was somehow a backwards step from the UI that came before it.
I really, really hated that system.

I've decided I can live with the white background after all.

 

I hope we see a brand-new replay settings menu very soon. I am really sick of these old green roundings ...
