Time to change the US servers car and track combos. It's been the same for a month now. How about some group 4, FR X-90 and Carrera Cup Classic races ?
Has the ranking list been changed to only show those with an activity score (the introduction of this couldve been noted on here as well) higher than 0? If so is there a chance thatll change any time soon?
I have rightfully not driven Ranked since February, will I start again at 1500? And the reputation remains unchanged?
For now all the activity score does is hide users with a score of 0. Your ratings remain. The maximum activity score is 5. After 2 weeks of inactivity you lose your first point and drop to 4, then every subsequent week of inactivity removes one point so you are at 0 if you have not raced in ranked in the last 6 weeks.
Not neccessarily saying objectively it should but id definitely prefer it. When im on a ranked server i like to have an idea of whos around me and just in general i also like knowing where i am on the list. But if the list is missing 90% of the players theres not much valuable information to be gained from it for me
Right. Of course the general idea of adding an activity score is to introduce a motivational element that keeps people racing in ranked, so some kind of drawback from inactivity is to be expected. This hiding from the list isn't a big problem for inactive players and I agree that it takes some useful information away from users who do race regularly. It's definitely not set in stone and might get changed again but for the time being this is the inactivity "punishment". Eventually I imagine there will be more sever consequences, probably in a fashion that is already known from similar systems (i.e. slowly losing certain achievements).
Would it be possible to add open/locked setup info to the picture in the main menu that advertises the scheduled ranked races? Thered be a space to the right of the reputation requirements thatd be just perfect for that. Having that info makes a huge difference for me and not having it potentially keeps me away from joining certain sessions
That just means that you need a reputation of at least 75 to be able to join those sessions. So in your case nothing to worry about anyways
Another feature idea - I've missed lots of ranked races in part because of the relatively narrow time window to join. I'd love some kind of in-game/in-car 'alarm clock' to remind me when a multiplayer race I've 'tagged' is due to start.
You'd be surprised. It wouldn't be solely for ranked servers, you could tag any server you fancy and get a reminder when the race (or practice, qualy) is about to start.
Hello. My nickname in Raceroom is Pawel Myslinski. The ranked server in this game is a mistake. The competitor goes off the track several times and wins the race, in addition he gets points for the ranking, while gaining 2 places in the race I lose. Let someone explain what it is.
