Can't wait to put 50 cars on Spa and do a long race. Hopefully the GTR3 pack is coming soon so I can get the full pack with one price.
There was over 60 entries in the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Monza last year if I recall correctly.
Do you also fix the broken gearbox Ai that drives at 10km/h around the track? If not, I rather stay with 16 Ai cars
I don't think there is something wrong about a broken car trying to get back to the box... this really add some realism against some boring perfection. I just had this case right now in Suzuka and I found it really fun
Not so funny if said car tries to climb up the Bathurst hills and stops half way on the inside of a corner. I also remeber that with a Grid of 20+ on SPA, cars crash in the right wall after the start.
For what I saw at Suzuka, AI just lost more or less the same time per lap as me (well, approx... but still... surpisingly). Don't forget AI is steadily improved and is not what it once was.
I am not sure there: do they acutally try to reach the box? Had a GT3-Race with a broken Mclaren and Ford GT steadily doing lap after lap after lap after lap at sunday cruise pace.
Im almost more excited about the larger grids than i am about the Nord. The Nord is something we have all experienced in a racing game (its almost required to have in your game) but having 99 car racing grids? THATS something i have never seen. Until now. Thank you RRE!
An Ai with a damaged gearbox will try to climb up Bathurst and will fail. Sorry to say that buy thats not funny and you should be aware of that, they never make it to the box there. Also I tested the bigger grids, thanks for the possibility, really, but the Ai is just too bad to handle that. Tested some tracks and also the new Nordschleife. They litter up in the 3/4th corner and your have to wait like 20 seconds to clear it up because they spin out there and cause massive carnage with the GT3s, also on SPA right after the start. The flying start is also carnage, the Ai controlled player car moves a lot slower than the others and crashes can happen. I wish you would let us control the car during the flying start.
I dont think it will take quite that much. Ive never seen my fps dip below 60fps before this patch....going to try to log in again and see how spa is.
Just done shot race Nordschleife with 99 opponents. It's absolutely amazing. Haven't no one second to relax. Great sim, great update. Thanks a lot Sector3
I just noticed that if you want to find few easy FPS more for your grid, try the Car LOD setting and drop it down to medium. I've had it always at high setting and decided to test medium today. I gained few FPS and really can't tell much difference at least on 1080p monitors.
