Same here. I really wish we could just play offline. Especially for us who purchased an experience pack. I rarely play anything other than leader board or practice mode.
It is in the middle of the night in Sweden, so it's no update.. (or was, early morning now) Your first RR update you say, then you're in for a treat! It's like christmas morning every time.
Tonight (Midnight Pacific Daylight Savings Time GMT-8, so now aprox. 08:30GMT on 8 Sept 2015), I can NOT log into R3E on Steam, I get "Error 2104 User Login Processing Error". Is R3E on Steam down for maintenance ? Did my R3E account login get clobbered / corrupted? Steam prompts me to Login or Register. I have R3E installed on Steam for at least 1 year, and I've bought cars and tracks during that time, so clearly I don't want to create a new account (and thus lose those purchases). I can log into my profile (http://game.raceroom.com/r3e/users/EZTarget/) on the R3E website and on these Sector 3 Studios website (obviously). Please restore my Steam credentials for R3E (if corrupted), or advise via email )or use Steam to Send me a Message via my Steam profile page (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197966072340/). yes i know, but its hard, when u will race... the good thing is i still have 2 weeks holidays, hope that is enough
