Maybe your host provider did? Since you've connected to them I suppose. Because I'm still waiting a response from my ISP and I'm assuming they've done nothing too. Edit: Game worked for 2-3 hours but now it doesn't work.
You know, the problem was, that any other race games had no problems with connection, except RaceRoom...
Hi CanF1, Maybe you can try to do, what Calv Killmore did, resetting your router, by unplugging the power, wait a few seconds (10) and put the power connector back in, it resets your router. I didn't have to do this, because the Monday, raceroom started normally, and even today, I raced for an few hours without any problems with starting up raceroom.
Wrong. S3 didn't change anything on their servers and suddenly a good number of players who happen to be behind a few certain ISPs can't connect to them anymore. A few days later they can connect again while S3 still did nothing. Actually networking problems over the internet can have such various causes that it's hard to find the cause at all. Data packages hop from node to node and only one of them needs to be faulty - let's say a DNS with corrupted or outdated data - and suddenly every client that uses this DNS can't connect to certain servers anymore. Boom. Who's to blame? RaceRoom depends to a very high degree on internet connectivity. This is a fact and this is a certain approach that was made in the early development already. There are reasons for this (mainly copy and cheat protection AFAIK) and because this is such a fundamental part of the code base, this is a fact that is going to stay most probably for the whole lifespan of RaceRoom. This will lead to problems whenever internet connectivity is faulty in certain ways. 99.9% of the time I had no problem with connection to RaceRoom servers. So it's a minor issue for me - especially regarding the fact that we are talking about a computer game. I'd say get over it and live on...
What's going on with this game lately? After the last update, FPS dropped drastically, some textures stopped loading, and now you can't even enter the game... Server connection error all time RaceRoom Crew please do something with it...
same here can't log into the game, worked fine for 30 minutes, wanted to change to the car selection -> oops error 502. restarted the game: error 500.... you should be able to start the game without internet connection. I understand online registration and synchronization of licenses and such. I understand synchronisation of statistics and so on. But not being able the play when one of your servers has an issue, is not really something I can understand or even appreciate.
Same here. What I get: a) pop up window ("Can't connect to server") b) the car ("something went wrong"), Error 500 c) the car ("something went wrong"), Error 1 And Zorax has a good point. One should be able to practice when the server has Issues.
Game crashed. Now tried compability test without success. Game won´t start.. A friend of mine also have the same issue.
I'm getting stuck on these loading screens - Takes ages to load into main menu then can't start single or multiplayer. Have to ctrl-alt-delete to quit.
