    Chang International Circuit
    aka
    Buriram United International Circuit

    OUT NOW

We are expanding our Asian Track selection with this newly build race track in Buriram, Thailand.

The Circuit opened its doors in 2014 and since then the FIA Grade 1 rated facility has hosted many national and international series, such as the Japanese Super GT, Asian Le Mans Series as well as the TCR International Series and the WTCC.

The 4.5 km long track features a good mix of interesting corner combinations and a long straight providing a good overtaking opportunity.

Working on this track was a special experience for us, as we have produced it in direct collaboration with Tilke GmbH, the world's leading designer for racetracks.

We progressed hand in hand with their engineers in order to deliver the most accurate representation of a track that wasn't even fully completed when we started working on it.

We provided them with regular playable builds, done at each stage of the track production. We identified the best workflow and requirements for future projects in the meantime.

The purpose of this collaboration is long-term and we will be offering Tilke GmbH early hands-on experiences of their designs, before they even go into construction phase, allowing them to refine the flow of a track as early as possible.

We are proud to be part of this exciting venture, and to announce that thanks to this collaboration, RaceRoom will be the first game to officially include the Chang International Circuit in its library.

The 'long live the king' billboard is there! Take my money!

Seriously, well done. This came out of nowhere. The Tilke partnership should be very fruitful for both parties.

Wow, how damn cool is that?!

Must told a little anecdote of it - Ironically yesterday evening I watched an onboard video there with Coronels Chevrolet and said to myself "would be a dream to get this one" and surprisingly today I read announcement.

Nothing to add - amazing stuff.

It's good to see this partnership. Tilke is the household name in modern race track engineering, he delivers what modern racing demands and security records are great since he's involved. Just wished the tracks created by him would be more varied in feel but I guess they have to work with what they're presented with and what their customers request.

Looking at their credentials, there's a lot more to look forward to I assume.

Looks great from what we can see. It provided some entertaining TCR, WTCC and GT Asia races recently.

Looking forward to testing and racing on it.

    If I understand this well:

We knew car simulator for car development, but this is Sector3 providing a track simulator for helping the development of the track.
I hope there're financial terms in the deal, giving sector3 a little bit of money for the work :) (and not only the datas for tracks into the game)

I guess the benefits are mutual, classic win-win situation. I wouldn't undervalue the additional knowledge and data the engineers of a track can provide, plus of course what we in Germany call "Vitamin B", (indirect) connections to all sorts of people in the racing business, right up to F1 top ranks.

The track excites me, but the possibilities, even more. Let's say F1 wants to make changes to a turn at a Tilke Track. Tilke can come to S3S and use their raw data and simulation to see how that change will affect racing/setup/etc. Super exciting for the team I'm sure.

Great news, more WTCC tracks! One of these days we'll have an Asian track pack right?

Just a request, there's any probability to do the street circuit of Vila Real in Portugal, that will host the WTCC for 2 more years (at least)? The one that drivers loved and was fast, dangerous and challenging?

    Thanks!
