The one I really, really miss is Imola. My number one track in every sim. If we could get that I would be extremely happy 1 - Imola 2 - Barcelona 3 - Donington
Would buy an US-track pack without even thinking a second about it. Now that we have the Indycar it would make sense. • Road America • Road Atlanta • Sebring
Le mans (including with an update to change drivers, so we can race the simulation 24H with more people) Old Zandvoort Old Spa (not the long one but the one with the old chicane for start finish) Or more old lay-outs like Hockenheim, Silverstone etc.
How could i forget about Assen Mugello Or even.... This is a very long shot but if RR could do this, i would explode from every orifice in sheer excitement and overwhelming epic joy. Isle of Man TT I know it's a bike race, but still, it hasn't been modelled ever, well as far as i know, so it's totally unique in any SIM. I plan to race there before i die so it works be great to learn it this way than the hard way. Go on Devs!! RR For IoM TT
It's on my bucket list. Probably do supersport or supertwins. Or i die racing there. Either way, you only live once. Imagine driving hill climb, full chat through bray hill, whets the appetite. (or maybe pants).
1. Le Mans (Circuit de la Sarthe, must have). And a LMP1+LMP2+GTE Pro+GTE Am Pack ! 2. Ascari Race Resort 3.VIR
I have to wonder why Barber Motorsports Park gets no love, one of the most challenging tracks I can think of - a real roller coaster of a track. Some tracks can get monotonous but not this one. I don't think there are two corners or straights alike. Yesterday BMP was the stop on the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule - tough track for fast open-wheelers . 19 cars finished on the lead lap, pretty good considering the track length and challenges. "The 2.38-mile permanent road course has 17 flowing turns and features 80 feet of elevation change that challenge drivers and engineers. A 45-foot-wide racing ribbon also makes it imperative for patience while setting up overtaking opportunities." I didn't actually vote for this track as I didn't think it would have done any good - better to vote on something that could possibly trigger Sector3 attention. But, if I really had a choice this would have been my second choice (Sebring first) over any other - love it in rF2.
Hm...to me this circuit always appears to be artifical and constructed at a drawing board with the idea in mind "Let's take this elevation change here and after that comes this special curve etc." This might sound harsh but I often have the feeling when I drive at Barber (just know the Iracing version). Imo there are plenty of other great north american circuits such as Road America, Sebring, Road Atlanta, VIR, Limerock, Portland etc. Would take Barber nonetheless if it makes it into Raceroom.
Fair enough but I don't get it (artificial...)... to me Barber Motorsports Park looks similar in topography to most of the tracks you listed - nestled in the country side, hills and valleys, trees! Artificial... to me those are tracks like Yas Marina, Circuit of The Americas, Bahrain International, Paul Ricard, to name a few. I realize that the popularity of virtual race tracks can be attributed in a large part by historical significance (24 hrs of Le Mans, Indy 500, etc.), personal familiarity by having visited or been a part of a favorite racing series, etc.. To me Le Mans and SPA are a couple of the most boring tracks but I get why their popular. My "home" track I could say is Road America as I've been their many times (40 minutes away) for various races over the years and with a little track time (a Corvette, BMW, TransAm). But, in the virtual world I look for fun and challenging tracks regardless of my familiarity. I've raced RA, SPA, Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Hockenheim, and many others for too many laps to count - these have been in most every racing game since the start of computer racing games. That's actually one of the primary reasons I like Automobilista, many tracks I've not either heard of or very little if any virtual track time. To me Barber is one of those little known gems (world wide), but my $.02 is not worth much, hence the poll total
My opinion is Suggests a "Asian track pack" 1. Okayama 2. Korea International Circuit 3. Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit "Asian track pack" 1. BATHURST CIRCUIT 2. CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT 3. MACAU 4. SHANGHAI CIRCUIT 5. SUZUKA CIRCUIT 6. Okayama CIRCUIT 7. Korea International Circuit 8. Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit
Asian track pack with BATHURST & Melbourne??? These are australian tracks buddy! Australia is not Asia! ... but a Asian track pack for itself would be a option ... the same like an Australian track pack ...
It's difficult to explain why I think this about Barber. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad track but compared to many other tracks in the US it's not as fun imo. But I agree, many of the current modern F1 tracks designed by Tilke are bland and boring and the opposite of a circuit embedded in natural environment, thanks to the FIA. He is capable of building tracks when he has full reign, just look at Bilster Berg for example. Regarding the classics represented in sims like Spa, Monza etc: yes, I'm also quite bored by them and am happy when new unseen tracks arrive (good example with Automobilista you mentioned).
