Hi @ebjornen and sorry I missed your report (was away for a couple days, then it got burried).
I'll forward your crash dump file to a programmer for analysis. In the meantime could you please provide your PC's specs (CPU, GPU, RAM, HDDs, OS, peripherals)?

Sorry missed this, but Christian just pulled me by the ear.

Could I also ask @ebjornen for any relevant game.log file (located in My Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom\UserData\Log )

Is this the first time trying to launch the game on this computer, or has it worked before with this hardware setup?

Gamelog shows a device failed to initialize. Unplugging all devices such as steering wheels before launching the game could be worth a try.

Could you provide the 32-bit crash dump, it might contain more info. And also the graphics_options file from Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\graphics_options.xml.

I have got a new HMD for VR (Pimax 5K+) since last time I tried RR. When unplugging HMD I did not get error message but the game will not start only a black window.

Crash dump shows the game crashed when launching the vr window.

Did you follow the OpenVR Support thread on how to set up vr? Maybe ask there about your issues, someone else might have encountered the same problem.

When launching without vr make sure there are no -vr parameters in steam launch options. Also, try deleting graphic_options.xml to get native screen resolution.

When removing -VR in Steam it started on the monitor, but when trying to start in VR no luck. Playing without HMD is not an option for me. The OpenVR Support thread is 66 pages, I dont want to spend the summer there. Think I will go for Projectcars 2 for now.
