Hi! Our server chrased cca 5-10 times per day. Monday I sent log files (support.raceroomracingexperience.com). On wednesday was our championship race event. After the races the dedi window was full error lines ( [ERROR] 10:04:01 Event Loop 2 AnnouncePlayerCoordinatesOnTrack) and results log file missing. Our solution to this problem: Task manager -> close steam.exe -> restart steam -> wait 1-2 minutes -> start dedi. But this is not 100% solution.
I'm not saying that this is the solution to your problem, but you don't need to have steam running to run the dedi server, you're aware of that? You can simply find the dedi exe in the steam folder and run that as admin (create a shortcut on the desktop) without steam running.
For me it is. Started yesterday at 5:50pm and at 3:00am there was few announce errors Code: [INFO] 05:50:05 Extracting game files [INFO] 05:50:06 Launching Milkyway workers [INFO] 05:50:07 Starting frontend on http://*:8088/ [ERROR] 03:00:25 AnnouncePlayerCoordinatesOnTrack [ERROR] 03:00:26 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:00:37 AnnouncePlayerCoordinatesOnTrack [ERROR] 03:00:58 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:01 AnnouncePlayerCoordinatesOnTrack [ERROR] 03:01:10 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:22 AnnouncePlayerCoordinatesOnTrack [ERROR] 03:01:34 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:35 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:35 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:35 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:37 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:37 AnnounceServer [ERROR] 03:01:37 AnnounceServer But i can access frontend without problems right now. Can't check right now if i can join through R3E.
This kind of errors occurs also if you're running the steamless version - it's the same that happens on our dedicated host after some time, where the R3E Dedicated is installed/maintained via the steam command line (steamcmd) and runs solely without steam started.
Normal message with [ERROR] at the begining ? Last time i see it, i (and not only) have problem. I see time to race is countdown, then all cars dissapear from start grid and i see countdown again. I still can't see 90% cars on the grid (but see on the map). Then race is started (I see timing F8) but my car won't start, throttle is working, but i can't change the gears. Then i see how other cars going to the second lap (yes, from this moment i can see all the cars)
This is usually an indicator that there was people on the server. These message have been there since the dedicated tool came out. Maybe you need @Sonat Ozturk to tell you.
And he - @Sonat Ozturk - will tell me (us) that those error messages after a while indicate a "normal" dedicated behaviour? You're kidding?!
I have no doubt that he's the expert, but I never read any information on this error from him that explains this as a normal (standard) behaviour or gives an explanation for this at all, but only got this questions - or did I miss something on this elsewhere?
Hi, for about 2 or 3 days, our league dedicated is showing some strange logs "2020-01-31 06:31:32 WARN DedicatedServerProcess.TryDeleteTempDb" Yesterday, I shut down everything, then launched it again, and now I just had a new log. Players are reporting a lot of lag on our servers that we didn't noticed on our wednesday race. Any idea about this TempDb log ?
