Under ...\SteamApps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\Shaders\dx9\fx\moods there are differents files link to moods.

    To test a different mood:
    - save default.mood (file used in game)
    - copy realistic.mood (it's an example) and rename it in default.mood
    - start R3E to view the difference.

I use realistic.mood i found it very nice and better!!

    Available mood file:
    default.mood
    realistic.mood
    standard_day.mood
    xproc.mood

    Thanks Croc from RFR.

Yeah gave it a go but i think i still prefer default. Seems to be more detail in the road surface??
    Realistic appeared to dull everything??
Any one else got any thoughts?

P.S good pick up though thanks for sharing.;)

Just a word of explanation about those, they date back to when we were experimenting stuff with light settings. The names don't really have any meaning ("Realistic" doesn't really look more realistic for example). In early prototypes of the game, you could unlock some "mood" settings that made the game look totally different (black and white, instagram-like filters), which was dropped quickly. Now we're using the tech in a much smarter way, Sonoma will be the first track we release that has its own unique light settings for each of the 5 times of day. This means we can now freely tweak the visual feel of each track layout, which was not possible before where the 5 times of day were global, affecting all the tracks the same way.

Wow that block of text is not very readable. Need coffee :)

That block of text is very readable, and sounds very interesting. If I understand it correctly, tracks up until this point have a single lighting state that is adjusted by the 'time' feature, whereas Sonoma and going forwards each 'time' has its own state for each track?

Oh wait, I just read that back and I see what you mean...

Either way, looking forward to witnessing the new system.

hi, i'm croc from RFR. i've remove imgs from my server a while ago and see some hit from here ;)

    One year UP oops :p

J-F Chardon i think it could be very nice to have an overall option that use this mood file.
I like a lot realistic.mood and play with it but i found colors a little too much statured vs default.mood (but i still prefer realistic over default)

any way to modify this files or create new one ?

I see this effet like a postprocess graphic options (like we can see in other sim) and this is a subjective preference.

    regards,

i only use realistic. For me its looking more realistic like color saturation. Default sometimes looks like a comic.

Is there any posibility to edit those .moods files? I use reshade but it seam to me that consume to much and using these type of file must help.

No you can't edit them. I use reshade too. If you are careful with what filters you use it has minimal impact.
