Ohhhh, this is great news ! Lets hope they put in the best stuff of DR 1 and nicest features from D4 (without crappy physics) and IF they decide to add the track generator, please do it right this time
Yeeeeaaaaaah, rally cross. Maybe they get the force feedback right this time? Who am I kidding, it's Codemasters after all...
Don't know which wheel you're using but I found some decent FFB presets at the Steam workshop, well yeah not to compare with AC and RRE but at least way better than the default settings...
And pass, they were already setting this one up to be more of DiRT 4 with no early access, that's how you end up with a Rally title the community doesn't care for Codies. With no VR it's a great business decision for me to pass on this one until it's dirt cheap.
Lots of twists and turns but the road doesn’t look anywhere near as dynamic as Greece in Dirt rally. Just looks flat and pretty much the same width
They will have a look at VR later on... so maybe u get it as an VR-DLC 6 Years later lol .... “We are not afraid to make a challenging game.” so it's not gonna be an undercover DiRT 5... hopefully let's not throw the game into the coffin at this early stage... drink Valerian tea and chill..... I'm gonna play dirt rally now.......................... and cry quietly.....................
Dirt 4 was never announced as a sequel to Dirt Rally, and was made to be more accessible and not as hardcore. Following up on Dirt Rally with Dirt Rally 2.0 is highly appreciated when done right. Expand and improve, but keep the parts that worked well. 6 rally locations, and more to come as DLC sounds promising. This is where Dirt Rally eventually fell short - the lack of new locations. And Argentina is ... challenging. The best would be keeping the title alive for a long time by adding new content, but that's not a realistic idea when it comes from Codemasters. There's no money in small DLC packages. Hand crafted stages - that's the way to go. I could gladly accept a stage generator as an addition, but the generated stages will never be as unique and inspiring as the hand crafted ones. Porsche 911 rally car. It's been a while since this one last showed up in a quality sim/game. Really looking forward to that! VR isn't an issue for me. I trust that they have a market analysis that tells them it won't be profitable to implement it. After all, money runs the business.
I'm having fun with it so far, graphics looks nice, forcefeedback is solid. Only thing I don't like so far are the limited seat position possibilities... Something that's in Raceroom very good, you can adjust the seat high and low, front to back however you want. In dirt 2.0 I can't get low enough with the seat, don't know why they are make such a short limit with the possible adjustments.
Personally brought, and refunded, seriously I think Codies have lost the plot since DR1, graphics were blurry and wishy washy, ffb well enough said, I actually do believe that Codies do not understand ffb what so ever..
