Just picked up DiRT on Greenman Gaming using one of their monthly 20% off deals, thought it might make an interesting off-road companion to R3E... Looks great, but very different from R3E!
Great shot. I think it has some of the best sounds outside R3E personally; it's the main thing that made me not be able to go back to RBR since DR came out!
Thanks. Yes, sound is good, but not with so many details like in R3E. I mean sound from suspension and transmission. But i need to watch more real video. Maybe irl we don't hear this sounds too.
I still fire it up occasionally, Dirt makes a nice change from the usual sim-driving routine. I like it. Use the brake pedal. You are faster when you go slower. This is not racing, this is rally.
I appreciate that Dirt is a good rally sim, but I seem to enjoy road racing more. Still a change is sometimes good.
For anybody who is interested in DR then CD Keys are doing the Steam version of it for £14.99. http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/dirt-rally-pc-cd-key
As driving DR occasionally I noticed some fixes, improvements & stuff (better AI on Championships for example) since last time I seriously was playin' it....nice work so far... Time to set up an Online-Championship, maybe ?
It is very cool in vr if you can get the chance to try it. Compared to track racing found the low display resolution less of an issue, as you don't see "that far", but the depth perception of close things is top. Really exhaustive and scary so
Agreed. Dirt Rally (especially at night) and DCS World in VR are my top at the moment. Having said that, I do pop back to RR, will do even more as the recent bugs get squashed .
