News DTM Spring Cup - Race Against Real DTM Drivers

In the 2015 DTM Spring Cup all the DTM Experience owners will have the chance to compete against real DTM drivers.

Timo Scheider, Bruno Spengler, Marco Wittmann, Martin Tomczyk, Timo Glock, Daniel Juncadella and Gary Paffett are confirmed to take part in the 2015 DTM Spring Cup. And they will fight hard for every centimeter and fraction of a second.


There will be 4 Qualifying Competitions leading to a Final Multiplayer Race.

2. 09.03.2015 - 15.03.2015 Red Bull Ring
3. 16.03.2015 - 22.03.2015 Norisring
4. 23.03.2015 - 29.03.2015 Circuit Park Zandvoort

Collect as many points as possible during the 4 time-attack events to get the chance to race against the real DTM drivers in an exclusive online multiplayer race.


FINAL MULTIPLAYER RACE:

• Date: 12.04.2015
• Time: approx. 17:00 – 1800 CET
• Participants in total: 23
• The best drivers of the point ranking will compete against up to 7 real DTM Drivers.
• The final grid will be announced on the 2nd of April 2015.
• 10 minute practice / 10 minute qualify / 15 minute race
• Track: Lausitzring

How do I join?

• Download RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E) and register for an account.
• Purchase DTM Experience 2014 if you don't own it already.
• Save 25% when you enter DTM-SPRING-CUP-2015 during checkout in the DTM Experience site and RaceRoomStore.com. Offer valid until 06-03-2015
• Start DTM Experience 2014 and visit the competition page to start driving.

COMPETITION TERMS:

• You must own DTM Experience 2014 to compete in this competition.
• Rankings will be announced weekly on DTM.com and Facebook
• The final Multiplayer race is limited to European residents

Ncice and great idea R3E !!!!

 

Good idea. I make no chance at all but will try. Maybe if the flu is taking half the population out, a quarter of the R3E crowd can be be financially motivated to quit the contest . The Sector 3 Top guns are disqualified from enter this competition , and last but not least my "hit just any apex" disease will be finally cured.... then i manage to get a top spot.

So without kidding: "Let the games begin"

Will the final race be broadcast on twitch or elsewhere?

Now I will drive my first laps for this competition.
But I have a question:
If a real DTM driver is in, as example 2. place, will his points count or is he outside the rating?
I think outside the rating, because he is already placed in the final race, or am I wrong?

 

DTM drivers will be shown in the cup rankings, but their positions will not count towards participation in the finale race.

Just one question, the top 100 Get Real only score points or all the drivers from the top 100 (with amateurs in the top 100)?

I'm now 7. without any setup configurations with +0.704 sec. to Niklas Marquardt.
I wonder where I would end up with a good setup, but I'm a noob for building a setup and only drive with Standart.

Maybe I ask someone in the next few days if he can help me building a Setup.^^
And then let's see where I end up.

 

Errrr why is this? Sort of sucks and doesn't make too much sense to me, but I maybe I am missing something?

As I'm not involved in setting these competitions up I'm not quite sure. Regional restrictions usually depend on shipping awards to winners though, so it's possible that this is why it is restricted to Europeans only.

 

Time of day to hold the race could maybe be a factor or ping maybe?
