English ESR PUBLIC EVENTS ( Drop-in ) on week-ends

3x tire wear was not a problem in this race -- It appears those old bias ply(?) tires are hard enough to take 8x wear .

Now 3x fuel consumption was interesting. I only had 8L when crew chief said "you better pit this lap" and Chris had 18L but was leading most of the first stint. We both pitted on the same lap, just over 50% of the race. Unfortunately, when I pulled into the pit but there was a long waiting period -- was it that I called the pit just before the last turn? -- and I tried another lap but ran out of gas 1/2 way down the pit lane.

Nice clean racing tonight with @Clapper even though we were alone on the server. That's a shame because the X-BOW is so fun to race and it worked really well on this shorter version of Red Bull Ring.

@Clapper did you have your rear wing set high since I seemed to gain a fair bit on the straights? I use "1" on the X-BOW on almost all tracks. Just FYI.

 

Saturday race.

 

It was a good race. That outside pass in T1 was pretty good.

I was on wing 2. You were at least 0.2 seconds faster in sector 2 through the twisty bits. I put in a bunch of understeer so the car was more consistent -- I might have to tweak that out for more speed/handling

 

Here's my setup for the track. Works pretty good on most tracks.



I like to treat the X-BOW a bit like a go kart and provoke some entry oversteer which works pretty good with this setup.

And seeing that clean and fair race after all this time in servers full of noobs crashing cars makes me cry happy
