Initially born to collect lollygagging US drivers, ESR is now stretching out to reach as many players as possible to offer a "global racing experience" with the help of fellow dedicated users.

There's no particular difference between this and other bigger communities, but being small allowed us to maintain the group in a nice atmosphere and kept the racing experience pleasant for its members.

Everyone is welcome in the group, as ESR means having fun, respect and fair play.
Rarely you'll see rage quits (or yelling!) during our sessions.
Caused an accident? Say sorry (give the position if possible) and all's good!
Finished off-track? No big deal! Just turn your car around and keep rolling! There's no prize for the winner and no whip for the last of us!
ESR is a place where you can improve your skills and race awareness, by participating in Drop-in events and our Championships.

You can reach ESR Steam Group here.
If you want to join the group just send me or any of the admins @MeMotS, @Paul Darke or @Andy Blade a friend request on Steam and discord and you'll be added to the group after providing your R3E in-game name and your location (that's the only requirement).

Participating in ESR events, either Drop-Ins or Championships (and this is the right page) is easy: just remember to take a look to what's up next in Steam Events, here and/or Discord from time to time and get in the Discord drop-in Voice & Text Channels ~15 mins before the planned event start time.

    That's basically it!
We've very nice plans for the future and for sure having you on board will just add fuel to go on and make things run even better.
Thanks for reading this and we hope to see you on track soon!

    Before you go...
If you'd like to donate to improve ESR's experience you can rightfully do so by clicking this amazing button, forged, handcrafted with love and rigorously made in Canada by Martin Edmunds, our Button Master

    1.2 Team Assignment

    Cut Rules:
    Drive through
    Mandatory Pit stop: Off
    Mechanical Damage: On

    Qualifying (Noon): 15min
Race (Afternoon): 40min (2 min added for Formation lap*)

    *Attention:
Each race begins with rolling start formation. You’re requested to maintain your position and proximity with the car ahead, keep the pace determined by the pole leader (max 120km/h or 75mph) and perform a clean formation lap.

You are not allowed to overtake (or excessively slow down) during this procedure.
Overtaking is possible only and ONLY WHEN the leader has crossed the start/finish line or after an established point determined and communicated by Race Stewards on particular tracks.
If you fail to comply with this requirements you will be deducted points or DSQ (see Infractions 4.3)

    3. Scoring System
    3.1 Drivers

Every driver scores points at the end of the race and bonus points apply for completing the race as per below

Drivers Scoring System (will be adjusted accordingly to number of drivers)

    1st: 55
    2nd: 44, 3rd: 41, 4th: 38, 5th: 35
    6th: 32, 7th: 30, 8th: 28, 9th: 26, 10th: 24
    11th: 22, 12th: 21, 13th: 20, 14th: 19, 15th: 18, 16th: 17, 17th: 16, 18th: 15, 19th: 14, 20th: 13, 21th: 12, 22th: 11, 23th: 10, 24th: 9, 25th: 8, 26th: 7, 27th: 6, 28th: 5, 29th: 4, 30th: 3, 31th: 2, 32th: 1

    3.2 Teams
Team points are the points earned (or lost: see below Penalties) by the team drivers
Only the three (3) best results for each team are summed and compared to other teams results.
Each Team then gets points following the following scoring system:
    1st:25 - 2nd:18 - 3rd:15 - 4th:12 - 5th:10 - 6th:8 - 7th:6 - 8th:4

    3.3 No Points scored situations
    DNS: Did not start
    (player absent)
DSQ: Disqualified (player fails to comply with a requirement)

    3.4 Dropped Round
The round where a driver scored the least points will be excluded from the final Championship standings for that driver meaning that out of ten rounds only the nine highest scoring rounds will be counted for the final result.

    4. Racing Rules

We have all been racing together for quite a long time now so we should know what is fair and what is not. If you've caused an incident you'll probably get reported at the end of the race and a penalty may be applied if you're found guilty (see below)

    4.1 Reporting an incident

If you believe you were disadvantaged you should report it to the Chief steward @Andy Blade on discord or other Admin if incident involved Andy Blade.

    4.2 Penalties

In the event of an incident or complaint to the Stewards, video evidence has to be submitted and will be reviewed by three Stewards selected from the following list with majority of 2 to 1 final decision:
Andy Blade, Jesse Hampton, Steve Carman, Paul Darke, Martin Edmunds Admins
In the event of a Steward(s) being involved in an incident, then one of the Admin staff will be chosen to vote on incident.
In cases where guilt is apportioned a penalty will be awarded.
Penalties will depend on the severity of the incident/infraction according to what follows:

    Tier 2
    (Racing incident)

Pilot caused an incident without being 100% responsible or reckless: 5 pts deducted on Championship total

    Tier 1
    (Intentional incident)

Incident caused by pilot and judged to be 100% responsible: 5 pts deducted on Championship total + Drive through*

*The drive through penalty which is to be taken at the next event attended. The penalty is to be taken between lap 2 and end of race. If the drive through is not carried out no points will be assigned for that race (DSQ)

    4.3 Infractions

    4.3.1 Formation Lap

    4.3.1.1 Grid misplacement

In the event you’re not correctly positioned before the start of the race (after the leader has concluded the rolling start lap) you’ll be deducted points. 3pts deducted per position illegally gained. If you are 3+ positions away from where you’re supposed to be you’ll get a DSQ.

    4.3.1.2 Excessive Slow-down

You can’t lose proximity of the car ahead. If a car is ~3+ “car lengths” from the one ahead, the driver will be assigned 3pts penalty and the cars behind him are allowed to overtake and get his spot. If you’ve an issue during the rolling start and can’t keep your position please concede your spot and move yourself to the right side of the track or retire from the race by going back to Pits

    4.3.2 Leaving Pits

Stay within the pit exit lane until the very end. A 2pts deduction will occur if you don’t respect these boundaries.

Please note that driver penalties are carried over to his Team score too… So Be A Better Driver!!

    5. Communications
    Discord is mandatory
    for all communications. https://discord.gg/Q7HRP4f

**Note: A microphone is not required to participate.

Team voice Channels are provided for chat. However all participants must be on the ESR Championship voice channel prior to practice commencing for any last minute admin issues.

    6. Prize Draw

There will be a prize draw as shown below:
    1st: 2500 vRPs
    2nd: 1000 vRPs
    3rd: 1000 vRPs
    4th: 500 vRPs
    5th: 500 vRPs
    6th: 500 vRPs
    7th: 500 vRPs
    8th: 500 vRPs
    9th: 500 vRPs
    10th: 500 vRPs

Additionally, winning team gets 2000 vRPs (each qualified members get 500 vRP)

** Please note that to qualify for the draw, drivers must attend 60% of the events and complete 50% of those attended events!

*** While no-one will be excluded from the prize draw it would be hoped that any previous winners would return there prize to allow them to be re-drawn.

Server 2 is up for Sunday's event.
I heard you guys had that Stuck in Practice mode again last night.
Possibly caused power saving setting in windows, I changed the user ( removed the base user and made hidden admin the main account ) and the power saver setting went back to default, i did not realized that was happening.
We previously had no issue when the setting was to never turn off hard drive and display under power management. Not sure if this was the cause or not but we shall see on Sunday.

Anyone is welcome to test it anytime before Sunday's race.

Procar was alot of fun. Glad i hung in for whole race...first time finishing a race this long. Was sweating by the end, chasing @heppsan and running from @Fairman, who passed me for second place as i went wide on one of the hairpins! Had held him off the last 15 minutes, then blew it on the last lap in true scholz form!

    Great fun!!
Yeah, the last couple of laps was really sweaty, hard on the concentration!!:D

I was holding second place for quite a while there, then between 3rd and 2nd to last laps my tires was totally busted.. .
Should have hold on just a few more laps before going to the pits..:mad::)

Yes i suspected early on i may gain on you having pit so early. By mostly dumb luck i seemed to pit at perfect time. Cool additional strategy with the longer races.
