    Dear Sector 3, I know you have been working hard on the update and it seem to all be coming good now. I have a request. The FFB seems to have changed considerably from before and after the update.
    I noticed this because of racing on Sonoma Course with the BMW GT3 before the update and then after the update everything changed on my Fanatec Wheel. The feeling became very weak and loose. I had to spend a week adjusting all the FFB setting is the game and also on the wheel itself.
    Can you please post a updated guide to the FFB with explanations as to what the settings really mean as well as recommendations. I know this is a lot to ask but I really love this game and what the same level of inversions I had prior to the update.
    Currently the wheel feels ok but just spongey at the first part of the turn, not as tight as it use to.
    Cheers

    Are you using the default Fanatec profile for your wheel by chance? Or a custom profile?

    I dont believe there were any changes made that should affect the feel of the Fanatec wheels at all. I spoke to another beta-tester with a Fanatec wheel and he recommends to add more steering rack strength. May help get rid of some of that spongey feeling.

    Otherwise, this patch didnt really change anything related to Fanatec wheels at all. So, perhaps it is something else besides the game.

    Hi Nate,
    I would have agreed with you under normal circumstances but for one thing, As I mentioned in my previous message I was racing online on the Sonoma Track with GT3, I crashed out and went back to following day (After the update) and the FFB was completely different. Some did change, maybe the physics, maybe the track, maybe the FFB but something changed and not for the better. I did not change anything on my wheel or in the computer or the pedals or divers, nothing yet the feel was very noticeable different.
    Thanks for your response, I do appreciate the reply.

    Hi,
    racing the GT3's for a champ, I didn't notice any FFB difference with my CSW (training on Spa, didn't try Sonoma lately).
    The changelog didn't mention Sonoma, so I guess there's no change on that track.
    May be you should test other cars/tracks to check if you feel the same changes.
    I felt what you discribe once (lost effects, wheel felling spongey) after a crash, but it turned out it was my CSW motors that were diying (the air was hot out of the fan, and I had a strange smell out of the base).

    Hi Axxis,
    I too had the strange smell and burning from my wheel about 4 months ago, not long after the motor burnt out. Fortunately I knew the service agent for Fanatec and he completely refurbished my base with new motors, fans, PCB, belts and shaft. The wheel has been better than ever. Again this is not the issue. It is defiantly a difference in the game.
    Now just to put things in perspective, I am spending more and more time adjusting the setting in the game and I am starting to get a good feel, different but good. I think with some more testing i should have it nailed, but wow I have made some big changes to get to the results I am after. I am close.

    hi these are my Fanatec V1 bmw rim settings ,i dont know whether you like them or not ; you'll either have to copy and paste the ffb settings across to your rcs or use mine and rebind everything
    if the wheel is to heavy to light :alter afterwards in the ffb multiplyer for the car

    Thanks for sharing! One question, can you explain DRP @ 100. I've always understood that this was a "dampening" setting and should be set to zero. You are one of the first I've seen that sets this so high.
    Thank you!

    No, I can"t... :D
    But this is what Fanatec has in the manual:

    6.3.9 FOR (force), SPR (spring), DPR (damper)

    FOR range: OFF ---> 010 ... 150 --- FOR default: 100 (%)

    SPR range: OFF ---> 010 ... 150 --- SPR default: 100 (%)

    DPR range: OFF ---> 010 ... 150 --- DPR default: 100 (%)

    According to this I'm on DPR default setting.

    Well finally after days of testing, changing every setting, going through multiple cars and tracks I have nailed down the FFB and Fanatec wheel setting. In fact the results are excellent, very little clipping and great feel throughout the game. Thanks for your suggestions and input. If any one is interested I can post up my results.
    Cheers
