I do not own a ddw, but imo lowering the lateral forces almost to cero, feelings are greatly improved.

I find this strange, imo this is the most important setting, but I never tried without so I'll give a test for curiosity. Do you still feel when car is oversteering?

yes, with low lateral forces in any sim, and especially in r3e, is the more I feel every detail

Hello, do you speak German? This guy has OSW as well and did some great videos about the settings in RaceRoom. Without understanding the German language it might be to complicated to follow.

As expected, 5% of lateral force makes the FFB almost useless, I don't get informations about oversteer/understeer and wheel is loose. Didn't you mean "vertical force"? I removed it in the past (especially for trying drift) and actually set it lower than lateral forces.

I was wondering... Let's say I set my wheel (T300) to default settings both in the wheel's control panel and in the game. There will still be pretty big differences between how various cars feel when it comes to FFB - not just in amount of information, but also in strength.

So...is there a "gold standard" car that, assuming I have everything set to default, will give me the ideal intended FFB experience, so I know what to aim for in the other cars? Or are all cars set as intended and the differences in FFB feel are also intended and down to...well, differences between the cars?

Also, one thing I've noticed...supposedly in AMS, all cars have the FFB set with a minor clipping in mind. Yet the FFB in AMS, even when set to 100 % in-game, feels quite noticeably weaker than FFB in R3E does, even with peak forces at say 2/3 of the clipping point according to the FFB meter, so nowhere near mild clipping. Why is that? Shouldn't it feel fairly similar in strength?

Hi - after over 9 months of not being able to use my wheel for various reasons, last night I finally got my Wheelstand Pro out of the loft and starting bolting on my (secondhand) Fanatec pedals and T300 wheel. I had also uninstalled Raceroom and think I lost all my FFB settings. With the current version of Raceroom, which I can see has had quite a few changes in the last year, what are the current recommend FFB settings for the Thrustmaster T300 wheel? If these have already been posted somewhere in this thread, please just direct me to the most relevant post(s). I just have updated my T300 to the latest firmware. Thanks!

There's some TS-PC Racer setups here, it could be a good start for T300, then don't hesitate to try your own values.

Just for the record - I have the T300 and I honestly find the defaults to be very good, it wasn't just me trying to brush him off with a non-answer.

    Hi

I have just bought a new Thrustmaster wheel - not sure how to set it up but managed to get it working but even in a straight line it vibrates like crazy even at slow speeds - does anyone know if this is normal or do I have to change settings?

    Thanks for any help

You have to lower the min force settings I think.

Try set force feedback minimum force setting to 15% or less

The default settings for the T300 are pretty bad for me. Could barely feel the tire loads.

I now use these settings and it feels much better

I believe it dropped the steering rack option by a lot, and now I can feel the load on the tires much better.
