ohhh .... the "Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya" is finding its way into the R3E store ... ... the only spanish track which I support: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ban_on_bullfighting_in_Catalonia #DownWithHillbillyNations #FreedomForCatalonia
Nice to see this series as a successor for the WTCC.. Cars look basic but cool. That Honda rear though
Nice job on the pictures. I like to take photos to. I like the ones with blurred back ground it show the speed in the pictures. What shutter speed where you using on those? That is not that easy to do is it panning shot to get that blur. Nice job again.
Thank you dave, the shutter speed was 1/250 most of the time, excepted a few shots where I prefered the aperture priority (2.8) to get some nice bokeh and fixed wheels (for liveries). I wish I could go down to lower shutter speeds but I'm not talented enough for that. Also my zoom lense (70-200 L Canon) is suffering from a terrible backfocus issue sometimes. The Canon service couldn't fix it totally unfortunately.
If you are interested in coming to the Launch Event at the Nürburgring - A subforum has been created: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?forums/esports-wtcr.121/ I would be really happy to also see some drivers from the forum at the event. A large part of the RaceRoom and Sector3 Staff will be there, it's always a special feeling to race on-site, especially when the 24h of Nürburgring is on at the same weekend, and with our prize pool split and 4 division, we tried also to create a real incentive for drivers who are a little bit slower, to make the trip worthwhile.
I fear people will start sandbagging again and drive slower as they're able to, just to get on a higher rank in a lower Division rather than a low rank in a high division. Just like the real sandbagging dilemma in VLN. Well, it's a simulator at least.
The Divisions will be run without gaps in the middle at the event, so it will be the real top 80 that qualify for the races. Based on our experience, the pace at the on-site events is lower (because not everyone can attend, and it's different equipment) and the laptimes of the guys in P80 will probably be around 4 seconds off, so it is not really necessary yet to use a different system.
Are you considering to make any of the remaining 2 rounds to be used only on default setup? It would make some heads clearer (including mine ) about the true pace.
Love this game and am so glad the WTCR is coming to Raceroom. A little bit off topic but within the scope of TCR, does anyone know if Volvo are still moving forward with there TCR car??? And if so, does anyone know what car they are using?
@Bindaree Racing They said they would clarify and share publically their intentions in the first quarter of 2018. ( source : https://www.touringcartimes.com/2017/12/07/volvo-understood-readying-tcr-car-2018/ ) So I was really convinced and expecting a TCR reveal when Cyan Racing teased their GT4 Lotus Evora https://twitter.com/chardon_jf/status/978967156204466176 So now we're back to waiting ;-)
