Does the Forza 7 demo represent the current state of wheel support and settings in the full version? I'm on the fence about purchasing it during the sale, I'm not 100% convinced yet.
Don´t think they updated the demo. Ffb will be better when ForzaEmuFFB is released. https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/forza-motorsport-7.9404/page-2#post-154114 But you can try my settings https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/forza-motorsport-7.9404/page-2#post-150218 I show them at the beginning of the video

I bought this game 2 weeks ago, plugged in my t300RS and started driving. Everything felt good. So why are they trying to emulate the FF in this game? It doesn't feel broken to me.
Forza Motorsport 7 December Update https://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/fm7_december_update "Updated Force Feedback The December update introduces some important changes to force feedback in Forza 7. The new force feedback is a full physically based system utilizing Forza Motorsport 7’s suspension kinematics and tire modeling to send tire loads to the steering wheel. It produces a more intuitive feel with more accurate align torque and a solid feeling of connection to the road. Importantly for wheel users, this new wheel update completely replaces the old system, which means players’ tuning values from before December will be reset. Wheel users will need to tune from scratch to take advantage of this new and improved system. For a full rundown of the new force feedback system, check out the updated FM7 Wheel Guide on the Forza Support site."
I think its good, very good in comparison to the old one. You actually feel what the car does before it is too late. Tested today the Porsche 911 GT3RS, the 924, old Dodge Charger and the ´67 F1 Mclaren and the last two where a pain in the a... to drive before. I have a CSW V2 Base and the only things i changed so far is center spring and damper to 0 (as in every game) . Only thing i have to complain is, that i dont really feel understeering (wheel gets light or sth), but i think its only of those sliders i have to ajust, bc it works good in FH4 why not now in FM7 after this patch
These work well enough for my DFGT. Mess around with the overall FFB scale and road scale if you wish. The ratio between the ATS, STS and PTS is key though. This is a decent guide about the new settings.
I have to say after I tuned it i now enjoy it. Have to say it is better than PC2. I drove with the BRZ FE, and damn what a pleasure to drive. You can now balance the car very well and know what the car is doing. There is no weird behavior or sth. Especially under breaking, with a nimble car like the BRZ it is very enjoyable. For the feeling of under/oversteer you have to ajust the pneumatic/mechanic sliders. Now I dont run damper/centerspring on 0, increased it a little bit. It was recommended for fanatecwheels in the dev-guide for the FFB. This guide is very good. If wished i can Post my settings.
FORZAMONTHLY LIVESTREAM JAN. 14 & CONTENT UPDATE https://forums.forzamotorsport.net/...ly-livestream-Jan--14-and-content-update.aspx Barrett-Jackson Car Pack https://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/fm7_barrett-jackson
The pack is lame but the Rivals event cars dropped. One of the cars is a TVR Speed 12 and it is a beast in R class.
