Hello dear friends / fellow racing drivers. I've bought myself a G29 last November and somewhere I red the G25 was compatbile with the steering wheel, but it isn't. Now there are a few, 2/3 devices you could use to transform the G25 shifter from an add-on controller to a standalone usb controller. But I can't find any experiences if this device is worth a buy ?!
I am using it since I have changed G27 to SRB OSW and it works like a charm. It works with G25/27 ... shifters, you only have to DL Shifter Calibration Software and calibrate it. http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=97&products_id=188
Thank you for the quick answers.. !! Raced today with the NSU TT and changing gears with the paddles feels odd, in GT6 I never had that experience, but in RR you feel more connected to the cars somehow.
Something i was looking at a while ago before i sold my g25 shifter, making my own adaptor, not sure if you are technically minded but a good write up and explanation here on a diy jobby. http://www.isrtv.com/forums/topic/1...ith-h-pattern-sequential-and-handbrake-modes/
Hmm.. to much work.. I think I'll buy the Leobodnar device in a short while.. first to receive my usb-hub, I'm out of usb ports
Received my Leobodnar device today.. works like a charm indeed !! Now I discovered a new problem.. Because I'll use my pedals more, I''ll push myself from the pedals, because my chair is on wheels.. How can I cope with that.. ? - Need a polarbear carpet - or an office chair that doesn't have wheels.. - Still using the wheels and try to get used to the immersive feel of this cheaper la-cheap motion sim
funny. When i was using an office chair on casters i used two strips of rubber behind the two rear wheels, shoe insole, carpet offcut, anything you can place behind the rear two wheel to stop the movement. Basically anything you can wedge in behind the wheels to stop your moving, make sure it is the rear wheels to take the load\weight transfer, when you press the brake pedal puts the pressure on the rear.
Thank you for this great advice, I'll go searching for a piece of rubber and make two wedges ! Maybe also designing a duo wedge-holder I can keep those wedges with the chair.. Sometimes I'm so gratefull I life in this 3D printing era
