    [RESOLVED]
Problem was too high CPU overclocking. There's no manual CPU core voltage option on my motherboard, so I can't correctly run games at 4,3 GHZ on auto voltage. I left overclocking on 4,2GHZ and i'ts working. Never crashing.

    But,

seems that there's still some people having problem with the game crashing under this topic. Maybe for other reasons.

    Hi,
I'm having troubles with the game... It crashes, like every 10 minutes. Only when racing not in menus.

I don't know what to do and how to open a dmp file...

What I can say is that I'm on fresh install, every drivers up to date.

    I7 3770K OC 4,3 GHZ
    RTX 2070
    16 go RAM Corsair
    Windows 7 64bits complete edition
Thrustmaster TS PC racer (last driver version)
Fanatec Clubsport pedals V3 (last driver version)
Thrustmaster TH8A gearbox (last driver version)
    Here are the crash dumps.

    Thanks :(

Also, I notice some problems with textures on some tracks, like on raceroom hillclimb for example. Some textures are flashing and clipping. Like for example on crowd near or far, trees, vegetation same problem.
Also, I notice some micro freeze with screen and sound freezing. It's really short freeze like 0.10 secs freezes but it looks like it's unstable.
I just tested right now with low graphics and still same problem.
Also, I'm playing with custom FOV, just edited cockpit cam view to put in it my personnal FOV:
    <fov type="float32">30.47000000</fov>

I already did that years ago and it worked fine so I'm not sure how it can be related in any ways.
I'll try playing the game on 32 bits to see if there's changes...
Can't even play, so annying :(

Ok so I just tryied right now to cap my FPS at 60, as I noticed that crashes happens at high FPS. So at 60 FPS It looks like it works. I'll try to cap it at 120 FPS now for confort and test

Yes I'm using Asus ROG Swift PG279Q with g sync enabled. Disabling g sync still make the game crash. I'm using MSI Afterburner with riva tuner to lock my FPS

try this the Riva Application Detection needs to be set to "None" for RaceRoom to operate normally again.
    as there were issues before

Here's the things I just tried:

Compatibility modes on .exe, still crashing. Run as admin same.

    Downgrading GPU drivers, not working

Looks like it's working at 90 FPS lock. Still don't know why it won't over it.

That's sad because my config make the game possible to run over it so...

Just a thought - maybe something is overheating at higher FPS. Would also explain why it's only crashing when actually racing. That's when there's stress on the system.

Also you wrote you're overclocking your CPU. Try disabling this.

In fact still crashing at 90 and also 80 FPS.

Nothing is overheating, checking all sensors and all temps everytime. Also tried to disable my OC still changing nothing. Other games works so it's not about that.

If problems keep going, I re install windows tonight cause I'm getting crazy

Ok so as I said I re installed win7. I'm experiencing less crashing (can play 20 mins straight) but still not solved. Still crashing, same error code, something like 000005. Crashing less but still...
I'm using crewchief and discord. Do you guys think it's related ?

Just made windows ram testing, no problems detected. Also did GPU and CPU benchmarks on OCCT for gpu vid mem and calculation, no errors.

Could this be related to my hardware drivers from thrustmaster and fanatec ? I don't know how to read dump files, I'm not skilled enough...

You cannot read the dump files, only the devs know how to get info out of them. You have to upload them here for the devs. The error message tells you where they are to find.

    Already uploaded it

    It's about 8 years.

But in fact, I finnally found the problem.I don't know why, but at first, disable my OC didn't change anything. In fact I had two errors messages, one with something like "00000001" and "00000005".

So after re installing windows it fixed error "00000001" and now I'm having the other one, "00000005".
    But,
I disabled my CPU OC, and now it's working after hours of testing. No errors no crashing. In my opinion, it's due to the CPU voltage that I left on auto, and is too low to get everything running fine at 4,3 GHZ.

I think I resolved my problem. I'll left the topic here for one or two days to be sure everything still works fine and if it's ok, I'll mark it as resolved.

    Thanks everyone :)

I told you... LOL :D Hope it's gonna stay that way.

And you should really not use Win 7 anymore these days. No more security updates since January...

Windows 10 doesn't work on some older games and on a lot of games making conflicts, I downgraded from 10 to 7 for that reason.

For exemple, bad compatibility with GTA IV and Fallout 3 not working.

No security updates doesn't mean unsecured PC that much, if you have a strong antivirus in most cases it's OK.

Anyway, thanks for help guys :)
