hm, ok... in the physics-Update Changelog I saw, that the SLS recieved new sounds... but in this Update there is nothing mentioned about sounds in the Change-Log.

@Anthony Monteil: Is there something new?

Hmmmm, I swear it just happened. I drive the merc in a league so I use it weekly a lot. Maybe something went weird on my side?

It sounds a little bit different to me but can't put my finger on exactly what. Sounds great as always though. Hope it's not placebo and I'm making a fool of myself!

Yeah, maybe. Sounds as if there is a bit more clarity to the engine sound so perhaps transmission whine has been toned down.

Interesting, i just did a repair to my real life car that had the same effect...perhaps they fixed the accessory belt tensioner on the merc!

Hm that's the only thing I don't like about the update. This has nothing to do with the real life sound of it. There are plenty of high quality onboard videos on youtube for comparison.

Not sure which I liked more. Since we are a sim, probably should be as accurate as possible if samples available.

It is odd how everyone perceives the sounds of the cars so differently. For some reason the updates has made my incar sound more raspy and real as opposed to the previous which sounded very "computer generated". The new version I really like the previous I could not drive the car because the sound just grated on me the wrong way :D

I guess with the many different sound options available to the pc and just peoples personal likes/dislikes there is never a perfect solution. This is why I tend to veer away from the ingame sound conversations around here :)

Sorry guys, I've been moving from Sweden during the last weeks and I didnt catch up everything on the forum yet.

About the SLS GT3, I replaced the cockpit sound using the best source I could find for it.
It's certainly not perfect but it's the best I could do with this reference material.

I think it's already better than the previous one that was made from a very bad video.
Until I have the opportunity to record this car in real and make a proper sound for it, I'm afraid we'll have to live with this one. ;)

@Anthony Monteil Do you have some audio settings recommended? or... What would be the most appropriate settings from your point of view?

Love the new internal sound, got some real rasp to it, but agree as said above it's a tad quite.

I'm gonna look into the cockpit volume today, I should be able to increase it.

Then, you shouldn't need to change your sound settings ;)
