Awesome.....thank you. No graphic problems in practise with 12 AI......I'll need a few more laps before I try a race!
I ball up the AI nicely at the hairpin, wheel flailing, banging off the barriers......

An absolute beautiful track. Well done, Sector3.
If Macau had stable 60 fps, why not Shanghai as well. Please optimize it.

Btw., can't really understand why you guys got problems with the hairpin. I only use 25 steering lock with a WTCC car. Can recommend use a bit handbrake or make the rear a bit more loose with tweaking brake balance. Really funny, got no single problem with it. ;-)

    The hairpin:

    Reduce wheel rotation (wheel lock).

For a given car, first drive the hairpin with behind-car camera and make mental marks on various trackside references (until you have found a good line). The perspective helps you to have a good oversight. Do not aim at slowly turn in, but to find a point at which you imply >>full wheel rotation<< all at once.

When you found a good line, in hood or cockpit camera aim at that trackside marker, approach it with the same approach line, and when you reach it, blindly turn in with maximum wheel.

And there you slide through it!

Have done it with several different car types now, and classes. It works. You just have to figure out the magical reference point for every car, and then stoically always approach it with same speed and line, then give maximum wheel at once, blindly.

In reality, there is a prohibition in place to overtake in that turn, so ideally the AI should respect that and you should not need to worry about AI cars in your dead right angle when turning in. Have not paid attention to whether the AI really does like this: not overtaking but staying behind you during that turn. It better should obey this rule, else gameplay can be messed up indeed, I can imagine.

Difficult but visually stunning track, I really suck at driving the esses without smoking brakes or disrupting my flow. A highlight in sim racing, it really is.

Going to take some learning, I'm also getting a lot of micro stuttering everywhere but on the start/finish road (it's not all straight :p).
Not getting anything lower than 45fps with traffic around the entire circuit though so, well done @Sector3 :D

Anyone else tried the Radicals round here, such a blast, but jeez the AI in the Radicals round Macau are so quick (apart from the hairpin) I'm no slouch, even round here, but they are 7secs faster, if you go onboard it's like they have incredible amount of grip and lack of braking.
As for the hairpin no problems here, no handbrake required just find the correct angle and speed.

With some Rally experience (me: RBR ) you'll get Macau & the hairpin very quickly :D, though drifting through in Loeb style would be appreiciated sometimes - nevertheless : once you lie even one inch beneath the racing line the fence beckons you  - Macau is not a city course - its a cityclimb...

To take the hairpin aim for the bus stop and take a right, a severe right.

So much fun this track, great job Sector3.

Have raced it now the past hour, and love it!
    It's like racing on a hill climb!.. . :D

But not once have I managed to take the hairpin!! (Not even with a rwd, with lowest wheel lock and extremely tail happy setting)..:confused::mad:
To you guys who can handle that curve, at what speed do you guys take it??
I hit the wall both trying to brake hard and slide through it and going really slow!!

Thank you, will try with the DTM's later.

I was finally able to slide the Citroen through keeping it in second gear, but I wasn't able to reproduce it in the Honda.. .

came in 3rd place to the hairpin, left in 5th place because the guy infront of me didn't make around the hairpin.

I think this is the way to go.
Look at 1:55, he has still plenty of room on the outside.

I have managed to go through with some more cars now, lowering the coast made it a bit better.
But this is the first time I actually feel that a handbrake would be in place!

What is a good lap around Macau? :D In the WTCC 2013 competition, after a couple laps I´m 9s off the leader :(

    Very nice work!
