I recently found out that each simulator sets a default FFB frequency rate. For instance, Assetto Corsa seems to use 333hz, rFactor 2 400Hz, iRacing 60 Hz (maybe these default values have changed since the time). My questions: What is the default FFB frequency in Raceroom and how to modify it? What are the inconvenients if you increase it? Are there real pros? What's the max frequency of the different wheel models? How improve the way Windows and wheels are dealing with your USB port frequency?
Interesting opinion of Berney Villers from SimXperience about ffb frequency and misc: http://www.thesimpit.com/en/news/comments/Force-Feedback-Myths-and-Misunderstandings A deep analysis of rFactor2 ffb output: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/14482-rFactor2-FFB-Technical-Analysis
errrr, just mess with it till you get the feeling you are looking for. Some like heavy force, some like subtle...and even some in between.
There is one reference I've found https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...-is-there-a-better-solution.9153/#post-126928 Seems like it should be 400Hz, although some confirmation from dev would be very nice as FFB update rate can skip physics steps.
