How to do a timed lap on Nords 24hr without using full track?
To save having to do a complete lap of Nordschleife to get a timed lap for qualification I thought there was a way to do a lap of GP track and then start onto Nords itself.
I keep getting an invalid lap error.
    Any suggestions or help appreciated.

Are you taking the first NGK chicane and not the second slightly faster chicane?
Then off to the right round the tyre wall over s\f to start.
There is a post around here somewhere if i find it i`ll link.

You are doing it right, but it seems that it only works once on the outlap after leaving the pits. I've noticed that after i've done the outlap and than made a mistake on GP-Circuit and so got an invalid lap. So I thought i can take the short-cut again but unfortunately that has no effect.
    The following lap wasn't counted.

That is a proper ballache :) you`d think the clock would just reset to continue and start another lap.

I should have mentioned that this is for a multiplayer race. I don't know if that makes any difference.

No, it doesnt. If you leave the pit at practice or qualifying, you can take the shortcut once and start your fast lap.
