    Hi all.

We have a particular Championship starting soon with each round having 2 x 25min races.
The 2nd race grid is set to be a Reverse Grid of the Race 1 result.
Is there a way to manipulate a break/delay between Race 1 end and Race 2 start via the server setup?

    Kind regards,
    Simon.

i did wonder about that. are you familiar with how it actually works?

if i set it to 600 seconds (10 mins) and the last place guy say finishes 1 minute after the leader does, does that mean the 'race finishes in .....' countdown will still run for another 9 mins?

The timer starts when the winner crosses start/finish

After these 10 Minutes you are presented the result screen

I am using two server settings for my league. When race 1 finishes I start server 2 with a dummy quali period, so the race2 can start exactly at 9.30 with a manual formation lap.
this is more practical for me

ah. very helpful. so theres no way someone could press 'continue' before the 10 mins expire and bugger things up?

    @Racki

just so you know, ive just tried this with a friend on a server i set up

the 10 minute countdown only lasts until the last guy crosses the finish line. when he does, it advances to the next race (1 min countdown) soon after.
so unfortunately for us, it doesnt guarantee a 10 minute break between races

I'm managing a similar championship. First race it didn't work.
Second third and fourth it worked perfectly.
    If I test with two.driver, don't work.
I think it is related to dnf players. If you have one, it works to the end.

    Deeeevvvv please explain.

Ps: how do you manage a manually grid.start?

Also a flag to transform race 1 in a simple warmup is a great option and i think pretty easy to implement. So we can use race 2 and race 3 options as regular races.
I hope i explained the concept in a good way

Thanks for that @DreamsKnight. I think our best option is to test it with a larger grid so we can try and understand a bit better.

A warm up session would be ideal but I'm not sure if using race 1 a warm up would perhaps mess up any automated results system which would take race 1 as a result. Although I'm not sure on this.

I'm not sure what you mean about a manual grid start? It's not possible to give a driver a specific grid position, if that is what you mean?

Outlap after the lights go green, and everybody is positioning himself.

    Like practiced here:

    Second race starts at 8738.

    @Pfalzdriver
If you have the knowledge, why was there the need for the grid to re-position after there was a qualifying session beforehand? Or was q2 treated as a warm up session?

ok i explained in a bad way, sorry but my english is not the best.
to have a time gap between two consequential races is something we are looking for. personally i'd like to have a time gap also between qualify and race 1. usually, in other sims, it is the warmup work. i use it to drink, to smoke and to pee ( :D )

we have in the server manager 3 races options. as we know:

race1 grid is dependant to qualify result
race2 grid is depedanto to race1 result
race3 grid is depedant to race2 result

my request to devs is simple: an option to have race2 grid depedant to qualify results and race1 ignored. in this way, formally, the race1 is transformed to a warmup. i think, In my ignorance, this could be a simple and a fast approach for them to give us this time gap.

or they can put a second practice sessions between qualify and race1 calling it warmup. :D

So in the end the request is simple: give us a time gap FOR SURE between races and a warmup, we need to pee sometimes. :D

Q2 is used as a break between the two races.

You can set the delay at 10 minutes and the last Driver on the track should not cross the finishline
    Is that an idea?

Yes I thought of that, but its not ideal and could easily 'fail'.

The most ideal is that you can choose another practice session between the two races ofcourse
Maybe soon in an update (@J-F Chardon
)But if you are with a couple of serious drivers it looks easy to me to make a rule that the last guy on the track (not the one in the pit) must stop before the finishline
