Haven't played for a while and now I have interesting issue with the game. FPS in game (on track) remains at 60, however for example rpm gauge is updating only 2 times for each second after 2 laps or so in game (free practice, single car). In garage and game menus FPS can become very slow when issue hits, 45fps in main menu, 20fps in garage, but if I return to track and then go to garage again, fps can drop to 8 or so. No GPU or CPU single core is loaded much at all during this issue. When revving at neutral even sound cuts out, 240 Volvo boost gauge updates like 1-2fps only, changing steering wheel rotation in menus is pain as each click makes game pause and fps in menus drop close to 0 with each click, all this while CPU is 29C and when observed each thread load in other monitor with HWinfo there really is not much happening. Greatest issue is that ingame game kinda forgets to update screen, there is small pauses, about half a second randomly, which makes it difficult to drive of course. With i7-8086K and gtx1080 I doubt performance being the reason, other games run fine, much heavier games, but Raceroom seems to be kind of broken for me at the moment. It is also odd that Nordy, Spa or Hungaroring, it is same amount of laps that issue hits, also if I restart event before issue happens I can drive long time, as long as I don't complete any laps. When issue happens, only restarting game fixes it. I still have same nvidia driver as before when I did play Raceroom more, 416.34 which I have not had any issues with any game, recent Nvidia driver had pretty bad issues I did read, which have fixed just day or two ago, but those should not affect me as I'm running older drivers. Appears as game issue more than anything, but maybe there is some trick that can fix it if others have not experienced such.
@fufsgfen Suggest starting at the base level. Try doing a file verification to see if anything downloads. If it does re-acquire files try the game again. If it doesn't find a problem you could try deleting the browser cache in my documents. Should be in My Documents/My Games/Simbin/Raceroom/Browser Data/Cache.
Also try launching the game in 32bit mode instead of 64bit. Also check out this thread: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/mega-stuttering.12864 It sounds a lot like you might be experiencing the same problem, and there's a number of suggestions that did solve the issue for others.
Thanks from replies guys! Interesting, running 32bit did solve issue I was experiencing, I could play quite a while without any earlier problems. I decided to try then Nordy with electric car, but could not really cross a starting line as game did crash, not sure if dump is useful to you, but it is attached. Might of been some freak crash, not too worried about that.
