I was disappointed in the game because it was too much for my computer. GTR2 was a step in the right direction and offering DTM experience is much appreciated but useless for me. I will have to buy a new computer. Race 07 stutters too much during game play even on low graphics. There is constant stuttering. GTR2 is a little better but GTlegends works really great and smooth. Whats the big difference????
About ten years. PCs need upgrading every few years so it's unreasonable to expect a modern game to run well on a ageing and/or low-spec machine.
Even if the old Race07 stutters on low graphics setting, then your PC must be really really old (..... if not to say "ancient") Lucky enough even a 3-4 years old quadcore CPU e.g. i5 (which should quite cheap now) and a decent graphics card (e.g. GTX 670) should give you a good performance in R3E and almost all other simracing titles.
if r3e is too much don't get ac or rfactor 2. whats the difference between gtr2 and r3e? 8 years. -completely revamped physics with a whole nother level of realism, -hd graphics, -high-ploy car models, -shadows, -complex lighting engine, -high detail tracks both physically and graphically -incredibly detailed sound engine, and soon™ engine elasticity. sounds like your computer is 8 years old. I have a laptop without a graphics card and i can play gtr2
I've been able to play race 07 at full settings for erm 7 years? My pc is 5 years old and even with a new graphics card its way past it best and being slowly shuffled out the door
If you can run GT Legends and are looking for some online racing. Go to the Pilsbierbude web site and join the Weissbierbude (I think) forum. They have tons of mods and are fairly active online. At least you will get some racing in until you can afford a better computer.
