It is very strict there indeed, but only touching the kerb shouldn't trigger a cut detection. I was always ok as long as I stayed on the track surface with the outer two wheels. Which car did you notice it in?
Ok, can give those a look. But review your line if you would, and if you're really on track with at least two wheels maybe add a screenshot or video.
Ok.I will give it a shot. Edit:Looks like Christian was right.2 wheels must make contact with the asphalt (the asphalt and not the tricolore curb) at all times.
There is no global rule. (Although you're right that in general kerbs are considered part of the track.) There's places where you can go beyond the kerb and don't get penalised just like there's a couple more places like this here where you have to keep two wheels within the white lines. Let's label it realism, irl the stewards also have the possiblity to be more or less lenient regarding certain parts of a track. Just don't cut it, you won't be faster cutting over that kerb anyway.
Its out , and its gorgeous. Alex Hummler and his gang struck again. Plenty of details, and lightbeams and shadows working magic on tarmac and in the air. Tested it for an hour in the BMW M6 GT3, M135i, and Formula-2. It drives surprisingly much like the AC version. This is no given. For Spa, it also was very similiar. For Silverstone, the Raceroom version drives a bit more forgiving, cannot say whether that is due to the track or due to the different car physics engine. But for Nürburgring, the differences in how to drive the track, are very huge, try to drive it in AC like you tackle the course in RR, and you spin out serveral times per lap. But in Spa and now again in Imola they really have shaken my believe that laserscanning is all that important. Without it, you still can get very, very close, if you have the full treasurechest of experience and data available. Its not just the sounds that are Raceroom's prime signature. Its also the looks of its tracks. And the trackmakers of Raceroom get better and better at it. Very good track! Beautiful!
I'm enjoying the races at Imola. One really has to drive the proper line to get a quick time which is a challenge. What is unlike most tracks are the curbs
I wish the real-life track designers could have done something better than the chicane on the back straight. Just about every other turn is really fun to attack....but that chicane...ugh. Still, another great track by S3.
If you have not done it, guys, use a replay and free flight option (assign buttons first) to check out the infield and the pit area. There is so much detail to be seen that cannot be seen in replays and from track alone.
I would have to guess the chance of that is incredibly small. That chicane is only used in motorcycle races now, and really isnt meant for cars.
Just Got this track along with Knutstorp and sepang (now I have all the tracks again). Had a great time with the FRX on Imola. Thanks for all the hard work you guys have done on it. Can't wait to try the other two tracks.
@J-F Chardon You forgot to add it to R3e-data.json. EDIT: Also, if you can remove the ";" at the end, it's not a valid json with it (I'm loading it in an application). Thanks.
