I have a stuttering problem with the 1920x1080 resolution that it uses 59 hz .... there must be a bug with the passage under Windows 10 directly passes the frequency is 59 instead of 60 windows 7

This has been patched and should now work properly.

If you are still experiencing the issue, we recommend deleting the graphics_options.xml file located in the following folder:

    \Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData

I have the same problem, if i chose 1920x1080 i only get 59hz after updating to win10, and i get massive stuttering. Tried deleting the graphics_options.xml without any difference. Choosing a non native resolution that gave me 60hz stopped the stuttering, so i think it must be the 59hz that is causing the problem... any suggetions?

look in the NVidia Control Panel (if you have an NVidia graphics cate), then the part of the display panel,> change resolution, and see what he says as the highest resolution and select highest native

do not forget to control in the manufacturer's manual of your display supported resolutions and refresh

in all ways, Windows 10 is not the cause of this inconvenience, and the difference between 59 hz and 60 hz, is hardly visble to the eye

Its not the difference between 59 and 60hz that was the problem, but when running in 59hz the framerate froze for half a second then it played smooth for a second, and then froze again. Very "jerky" movements and unplayable.

Im not really sure exactly what caused the problem, but with a lot of back and forth between resolutions and gfx options it suddenly seemed to work properly, like it did in win8.x before i upgraded, so for now the problem seems to have gone away.

do a test by leaving the fullscreen mode in 1920x1080 to see if the lag is still present

That was one of the things i tried, but that did not seem to do much for me. I did get it to work after a while, bud sadly im not sure what it was that eventually made the problem go away :/

I just made a video to illustrate a problem regarding fps stuttering...

If i just starte the game, it will get bad stuttering, but if i go to settings, change resolution, then back to the default resolution, it will work properly.... video:

    resuscitating this old thread.
I am having this issue on my secondary PC in windows 10.
I edit the file graphics_options.xml change it from 59 to 60 and it just revert to a non fullscreen resolution.
I delete the file graphics_options.xml and it goes full screen but again 1920/1080p@59 no choice to change it in game.

My native resolution in Nvidia control panel is correct with 60hz, This PC had no issue on windows 7.

I gave up on the 59/60hz problem, as i had a bigger issue with stuttering (se the video above). I also had no problems under windows 7 and 8/8.1 - but as soon as i got win10 running i had problems with several game titles (iracing, r3e and assetto corsa). Iracing and r3e had just the same stuttering/lag as shown in my video, but assetto corsa just had "microstuttering" that i can live with.

Both iracing and r3e are fixed by me with changing the resolution. in Iracing i have to set my desktop resolution to another resolution than the game is running before i start it, and in r3e i change the resolution down a notch then up again as shown in the video to get the game running properly.

Annoying, to say the least, but i have tried lots of different drivers, and tried googeling the problem a lot at first, but have more or less given up on finding a better solution. Atleast my way around the problem works for me, even though a permanent fix would be welcome :)

could this be the problem with 30-40 fps for replays? when I reset the Nvidia 368.22 driver it says 1920 x 1080 60hz but in raceroom 59Hz

I deleted the the file "graphics_options.xml" but in game it says again 1920x 1080 59Hz
In the GTX 960 driver it says 60 Hz, on a TV, HDMI

The performance in game was ok (60fps) on the replays are running sometimes with 30-40 fps, with a single car ^^ will check this again ....

These are good news. I will run a clean up. I can already feel the differences between a PC and a console, the second one simply works
