Hello fellow racers. My issue is that even with the in game overlays disabled, I still have the New Session Best and DRS activated messages. I really hate any hud/overlay elements, it kills the immersion for me. Any suggestions?
This is the second request for this that I've seen here in a short time. Are you guys using VR? If you don't get any answers here from the devs, me or some of the other testers could check this out with the devs and see if it could be fixed since some people are requesting it. Bump the thread if you don't get any answers.
I have overlays switched off but always get the 'New Session Best' in practice sessions (no VR). That said I've never considered it an overlay as such because it's just text without the fancy graphics. I've never seen any DRS message.
Currently we will always show vital info such as penalties etc. regardless of what the Overlay Option is set to. Once things calm down (please please let it calm down) we've got plans for both in game HUD as well as menus, having no/minimal HUD is something we would love to add for sure. For now, MP is on the menu!
