By dull I presume you mean the exceedingly dull and soon to be defunked AC?

Jeez, you live a dull driving existence my friend, fire up that PC, load up RR and get a bit of love. 10 minutes with the WTCR cars around your favourite track and you'll forget all about the past, things just won't seem so bad. While you have your PC on, do your hard drive a favour and delete the tat, slowing everything up!

You have to be very strong now - that is what I do every day.
The old post you undigged somewhere in the depths of this thread was about somebody asking for roadcars and/or normal roads. THAT is what I was referring to as dull cars and tracks and I stand by it, that I do not want my favourite RACEroom to be spoiled with "dull" stuff like that.
I for one enoy battling with GT3s in AC or WTCRs in RR on a daily basis :p

Then we must agree to disagree, AC, for me is lifeless, whatever I drive, plus, pretty much dead in the water, pointless wasting more time with it and I don't even want to start on road cars in race sims, goes together like Liver & custard. AC have sold their souls to the corporation, probably lining themselves up for Forza 22 or whatever version they're up to now, as we ponder.

it is way more fun to drive a slow car fast
and not all of us can afford to take our real cars to track days,
so having a good sim option for road cars is quite desirable,
AC, Pcars 2, rF2 all have street cars, only 3RE is lacking
having more car options can only improve any sim
DULLl is a state of mind, road cars are EXCITING

Good thing that R3E has no street cars. That way there is no need for me to remove them from my HD each time I let Steam perform a file integrity check...:p

I just don't want sector 3 using precious resources and developing time for non-racecars :-D

Exactly that was my main concern when I wrote the post months ago. S3's resources are so limited, I would not want them to be wasted on road cars.
An Audi R8 LMS Cup car - yes. An Audi R8 road car? No thanks!

or just don't buy them in the first place??????????????????
I bet a street car pack would generate enough sales revenue for S3 to produce a new laser scanned track every week
but yea I guess you don't want new tracks either do you? well thanks a lot for that

You are pretty much alone with the assumption that stretching the little resources to include 08/15 streetcars would generate revenues where the core fans would benefit from. Dream on.

It's called Raceroom for a reason, if road cars were to be added it would be called Boy racer room and I'm pretty sure sales would drop like a stone but maybe rise a little in the sub 13 year old category. Plenty of other games allow you to drive road cars, please don't ask to soil RR. Genuine Race Sims are both expensive and rare, with a modicum of research you can grab the entirety of RR for £55. ;) Update and jiggle the older cars (ongoing), get the ranking system up and running, move over to U4 or at least Dx11-12 then start filling out the core of the Sim, Laps, not timed races, rolling starts............. the list is quite extensive. You have to take into account VR also, RR released 2013 and Dx9 but has it (although limited I believe) yet F12018, released 2018 can't manage it, RR is way beyond where it should be, what with the limited staff, a producer that seems to move the goal posts at will, all on top of a limited and old engine. The thought of getting in a Fiat panda and popping down the shops, makes me feel sick to my stomach.
    So that's a no from me! :p

Think a lot of peope would not buy them. Too many as if the "investment" pays off.
    Show me that math, please.
Its just your wishing and feeling here. And after all, you have nothing at risk than a written sentence that you will have forgotten already in a few days. Them have their economic longterm maintenance model at risk. Thei financial survival. Their stakes are much higher.
While tracks are welcomed, truth is I and many others always fall back to the same set of a handful of preferred content choices each one of us makes, and there are already far more tracks than I could frequently reasonably use, for time reasons.
Myself, I do not collect tracks. I drive them. And I can drive only so many, and not more. I would not mind if they stop producing any new content at all, there already is so very much. Yes, there always could be more. But that is just of theoretical interest - and only for collectors. Even if they stop producing new stuff, i would contnue to play RR, and probably for severla more years to come. Its not about always getting new toys to be kept interested. Its about the joy to play something you are deeply familiar with, are experienced with - and that familiarity allows you to use it with virtuosity right because you know it so very well.

What triggers me is often not so much the content of a reply, but the tone it was given in.
