I was racing the DTM 2016 cars today in a league race when I had the following happen to me 5 or 6 times during the event. On corner exit, I would step on the throttle and IMMEDIEATELY the revs hit the limiter without any power going to the wheels as if I was in Neutral or fully pressing the clutch. Since I have my input meter visible I could see that only the throttle was activated, there was no blue bar for the clutch. This problem only solved when I either fully deactivated the throttle or when I shifted up or down a gear. Are you still havibg this issue? Try making a new controller profile, I had similar problems in other cars and this has seemed to help.
