I wasn't the one assuming everyone on pcars is a paying customer...neither did I say nobody is. So you'd rather have loads more people online, even if that meant a certain proportion of those are pirates who don't pay for what they use? Who would that help in terms of future improvements? Of course it's an assuption, but at least it's based on some reasoning. Just another thought: It would take 1000 people investing 50 €'s each, only to generate what it roughly costs to pay the devs. Every single month. Since 4 years. (Leaving aside that the team was three times as big back in Simbin days.) I can only speculate why you tried to steer this into this direction anyway. All I was saying was that your claim that they only put out more and more content without improving features is factually wrong, and I stand by that statement.
Yes. Its easy to ignore the other bits if they dont suit your argument Cant argue with that, you know taking 25,000 euros + over a weekend selling at the right price, idk, maybe theres a message there seeing as they dont take\make any money! Its opinion and observation, read back, who steered it where? I didnt say thats what they do, i said that is how i see it, big difference.
Which doesn't make it any less wrong. Well, it's pointless trying to reason with an attitude like this. Welcome to my ignore list. Won't bother you anymore.
Interesting discussion .... But please keep it in another more appropriate thread or start a new one. Please! This is: Known Upcoming Content/Features https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/update-after-update-after-update-but.3158/ https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/when-a-game-has-finished.2697/ https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/the-raceroom-business-model-thread.2888/ https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/lack-of-progress-and-the-evils-of-teasers.673/
Since this thread is about "known upcoming content & features" I was curious if there will be a "re-balancing" of cars. Seems like in certain packs or certain cars, there are "car du jour" for hot laps and they seem faster (overall) than the other cars in it's class/classes on the leaderboards. Or is it because people just prefer/practice with those cars more?
This. Just look at GTR3. Common thought is that the Ford is op, but http://game.raceroom.com/leaderboard/?track=1678&car_class=class-1703&driving_model=2 http://game.raceroom.com/leaderboard/?track=1846&car_class=class-1703&driving_model=2 http://game.raceroom.com/leaderboard/?track=1691&driving_model=2&car_class=class-1703
It is one of the "easier" cars, you can produce quite fast laptimes pretty much out of the box. But if you put some effort into the RUF f.e., it'll be able to compete with and even beat the Ford easily.
Great googely moogely, I think I just soiled myself! Dat Mustang............ Now we just need some more Murican tracks to enjoy these beasts on.
Do you guys realize this is torture ? Mentioning Road America, Sebring and Watkins offhand and then crushing people's dreams
The yanks already have four tracks. We need a British track pack. (oh, and the GTO pics looks awesome)
