I am wondering if there are mandatory pit stops in R3E? Maybe, they are only implemented as part of Experiences? I am currently racing 1hr single races with ADAC 2013, and pit stops aren't enforced, which takes away from simulation a lot.
Only part of the experiences at the moment. Hopefully this will become a global option in all modes at some point, perhaps with more in depth options for setting multiple pit windows in a race and other pit rules such as whether refuelling is allowed etc.
Thanks James. I agree with you, changes like that, along with unpredictable weather, will allow us to finally retire GTR2/Race07. Do you happen to know if mandatory pit stops are part of DTM 2013 experience, or it is only part of 2014? I have limited time I can spend racing in a week, so I can't just sit and check. Also, are there any differences between DTM 2013 and 2014 aside from liveries?
I think it's only part of DTM 2014. I really should know this but as far as I can remember DTM 2013 doesn't have mandatory stops. The DTM 2014 BMW is the M4 rather than the M3 in 2013, and the Mercedes has a slightly different front end. Mainly cosmetics, I don't think there are much differences in the handling. 2014 also has two tyre compounds to consider.
Thanks for clarification. According to http://www.dtm.com/en/Sporting-Regulations.html 2013 had mandatory pit stops. Now it looks like I have to buy 2014 to experience one of the key elements of the race, wow!
