Released March update - Zhuhai has been released

Zhuhai surprised me with how good racing is can offer, it's like an asian Hungaroring for me, not the prettiest track, but good close racing with the right car combos. Unsurprisingly given the tracks history, WTCC cars are a real treat here, but I've enjoyed GT3s, DTM and FR3 races here quite a bit as well.

 

eg. at 4:56 and later u can see my minimap disappear and then reappear, issue after last update

 

What is this "advanced mode"?

 

I was curious about this too...

"Advanced mode" is the official Thrustmaster name for using the TS-PC with that new rim, the 488 challenge rim that just released in February.



If you have a TS-PS and use the GT rim it came with, or any other thrustmaster rim, this doesnt affect you.

So basically, this just means the game now officially supports the new TS-PC + 488 challenge rim.

Just for info, when an extension is not allowed you can make a zip archive, it's always allowed.

 

That's correct. However, considering the number of xml files RR uses, we really should allow those...

 

Hi, is it me or the number of opponment for Sepang track has been reduced to 37 cars? Is it possible to fix that on the next patch?

 

Think that IS a fix.

 

I don't think so. For example Sepang a track with 5.5km and Mid Ohio à small track with 3.8 km and 51 cars... NO i hope IS NOT the fix with all my respect.

 

It's great in the Cayman GT4, if only it had all the liveries

 

Did a few AI races in the VLN TT at Zhuhai this morning, lots of fun (yeah ok, this car (almost) never fails in providing great racing) and, big advantage over the Cayman (at least for the moment), not all cars look the same.

BTW looking at this post, does anyone know what's the english word for "Schachtelsatz"?

Another topic. The m6 gt3 is too slow through the corners and isnt competitive compared to the newest cars. It just looks to heavy through the corners. Can a bmw fanboy hope to see a M8 Gt racer soon?

However, I'm still waiting for an update designed for the competition.
That a single person will perform SRS as a meeting point for all Raceroomers makes me think that you can make a real online competition system based on licenses, ratings, etc ... with real championships, divisions and rankings.
A system that is also highly profitable influencing drivers in the purchase of content, even paying some realistic fee for the service. A system like this is not incompatible with communities or private championships, but it is a great meeting point for all and that of course improves the competition.
Other improvements that I'm still waiting for:
- Support for skins.
- Inclusion of quick chat and voice chat.
- Customization of the HUD in game (positioning)

 

Isn't the M8 a GTE car? That would minimise our chances to see it ingame.

 

Yepp it is... but who would mind the M8 + other GTE-Cars?
