    How do I do that?

    Edit: I found it
Edit2: Yes it worked!! Now the framrate is butter smooth and I have like 600 fps...
    ... NOT! Still stuttering

    I was just kidding...or I tried to :)

Are you using Amd or Nvidia?

@J-F Chardon, any news on the investigation? 64bit is still unplayable for many, while 32bit has its own performance issues. Is there hope for a fix to the massive stutter bug?

[Frame 107179] Delta time between frames is too small (rendered the same frame twice?). Delta time is 0.000 ms

Today i tried again. I installed the new NVIDIA Driver, but the Problem with the 64bit Version is still the same. After a few Minutes Raceroom is unplayable. Stuttering and Lags. So it is unplayable for me.
32bit Version has other performance issues. I hope sector3 will fix the 64bit stutter Problem asap....

    Any ideas ?

Havnt read the thread and have no idea what you have or havnt tried but the first thing i thought - disable replays and see if it still the same.

Edit - Maybe i should of read the thread ;)

Just curious - what kind of performance issues do you see with the 32bit version?

144fps to 0 when crashing to desktop in races with more then 20 players happens alot in 32bit,

 Maybe if i lower the Cars amount or set the graphics that would make a amiga500 laughing i would only crash 50% to desktop, like semi transparent, hmm, worth a try ^^

Seriously 64bit stutters alot, and no: no overclock, no rivatuner/afterburner/whatsoever.
It just shakes the image, it is not a fps loss at all, like in the RRVLN Video from Georg Ortner.
More and more people tell me about it.

Tried everything possible, up to: Windows install, drivers, steam, raceroom = cry...
i7, 1080ti, 32gb ram, no temp issues, everything else runs fine for hours, stresstest runs fine for(ever) days.

And the 32bit, just crashs randomly

Oh and it only happens to me in multiplayer, never had issues in singleplayer, even with 60+ AI
fps is lower but stable, and no shaking for 4h race.

In Multiplayer the performance log get spammed with the

100% correct - that's exactly how it looks...

    @Sector3
    any comments or hints ?
    is this a known problem?
do you working on a solution?

One thing I've just noticed while doing some other tests is that once the stuttering starts, CPU usage drops noticeably, like to a third or so.

Though I'm not sure if it's the reason for the stuttering or if it's actually caused by the stutter, since noticing this led me to discover a fairly peculiar thing in the process (and I will get kinda OT here, sorry about that, but I feel like it's not worth its own thread) - Raceroom CPU usage (which has slowly been climbing up for me to the point that I'm now often almost maxing out my CPU even during online races, that's with i5 2500k at 4.5GHz) actually seems to depend on framerate in general. Running uncapped framerate with vsync off, my CPU is almost maxed out at around 90-95 % average just by playing a replay (which actually seems to cause the same or close to same CPU usage as actually playing the game, be it online or with the same amount of AI cars). If I turn vsync on and/or cap my framerate at 60 fps, the CPU usage drops to around 70 % average for me. If I cap my framerate at 30 fps, CPU usage drops to around 55 % average.

Is that an expected behavior? I'm kinda puzzled by why that happens - I even went to check some other games to make sure I'm not missing something, both DX11 and DX9, and the CPU usage seems to be pretty much constant regardless of framerate outside of Raceroom.

There's no option to cap framerate except for vsync in Raceroom, if that answers your question.

If you use VSYNC, make sure you set your "Pre-Rendered Frames" to 1 or you get massive latency ;)

For me these NVidia driver settings working great in my Games: (not RaceRoom doh...)
    i7 8700 - 1080TI - 32gb Ram

    Option1 via NVidia Control Panel:
    Vertical Sync: Fast Sync
    Maximum pre-rendered frames: 1
    Anti-Aliasing Transparency: 4x Supersample
Texture Filter - Quality: High Quality
Texture Filter - Trilinear optimizing: ON
    Threaded-Optimization: Auto

    Additionals via NVidia-Inspector:
    Vertical Sync Tear control: Adaptive
Antialiasing Mode: Enhance the application setting
    Antialiasing Setting: 8xS [Combined: 1x2 SS + 4x MS]
(Optimized setting when ingame Antialiasing setting is set to 4x)

I get decent performance, with great quality picture in RaceRoom aswell!
Until it stutters out of a sudden and the Sector3-Goblins start shaking my Screen like crazy or blocking my view on the Monitor for 99% of the Frames rendered when Race-Start with a 20+ Driver Grid on NOS

Same Problem here. Every session ends up with a massive frame drop an black screen.

    My Setup:
    GTX1080
    Intel CPU
    Oculus Rift

Didn't see any mention of fixing this in the latest patch. @J-F Chardon, did this slip under the "various fixes" category, or is it even being looked at?

Well we were hoping that this would be fixed in this week's patch, and that it was the same as the stutters we noticed on our side. Seems like you have another cause for them.

Let's try and troubleshoot this with a couple volunteers, can you come forward on Discord for example?

Has anyone tried to disable the force vsync in nvidia drivers for example?

It seems like it's caused by 3rd party software (from messages on previous pages), such as Killer Control Center, or MSI tuning softwares.

Disabling those would be the first test, and then if it does suddenly work, enabling their features one at a time until you find which option creates the issue.

Then we'll be able to hopefully repro here and work around it.

Hey J-F, thanks for getting back to us! :)

For me at least the issue is still there. The game starts dropping frames internally after 10-15 minutes of running perfectly in 64bit. Reported fps remains rock solid though with similar GPU/CPU utilization, which strengthens the assumption that it's not related to a performance bottleneck, but the game's rendering pipeline is getting messed up somehow.

I'm not using driver level vsync, have the Steam and Xbox in-game overlays disabled, and also tried with and without MSI AfterBurner/RTSS running, the issue remains. And for the record, this wasn't always the case with the 64bit version, it only started doing it after some patch a couple of months ago.

Here's a fresh video after testing out the latest patch:

And attached are the logs from the session. I'll try to get on Discord when I have some dedicated time to experiment further.
