Nope. How do such effects relates to a modern DirectX version? rFactor 1 from 2005 has sparks in it and it was even using DX7 back then. Need for Speed Pro Street from 2007 which is using DX9 has pretty good smoke and dust effects even by today's standards (at least in my opinion):
Well I tried this with my Thrustmaster wheel and the thing went bananas, FFB went to 500% forces and just shook violently.
Just an idea: I don't know how hard would it be to implement in the RR architecture, but I think an open beta phase could be pretty interesting ahead of these significant changes like the new FFB. Not that I don't trust the beta tester team, but it would give us end users a bit of time to adjust and a chance to compare the old and new solutions, give some feedback and feel a bit involved in general, which would probably make the transition a touch smoother.
Samsung 49" 32:9 user here. To get rid of the stretching you can use the triple screen mode even with a single screen, just have to come up with some good parameters. But then you'll have to deal with visual bugs which only appear in triple screen mode, for example https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...screen-in-development.9579/page-7#post-139726 and https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...ound-shadow-pixels-tripples.9821/#post-137683 I found that quite annoying, more than the stretching on the sides, plus the additional demand on the CPU so went back to single screen mode instead.
It's not as disastrous as you might think with those cars. Generally they're just a bit heavy on the steering and lack the details of the updated ones.
These are DTM banners, it's the Aral Ultimate logo. Maybe you can still see them ingame if you use DTM 2013-2015 cars on the Norisring.
Yes, so it’s better to have a corrected support for those. I think iRacing was the first with a 32:9 support. The Bus and Fernbus Simulator would have it in the next beta. So nothing that couldn’t happen.
Well, we are still at Version 0.9xxxsomething, there is a 10 Years Anniversary coming (2023) and I'm pretty sure our S3 guys got something up their sleeves...coming soon™ (like always)
As I was reading the roadmap, and to a certain degree what FFB is, as I was quickly was overwhelmed and decide to stick to the summary . What impressed me was the self assessment and transparency of what RaceRoom is and what they want to be as it pertains to FFB with actual target dates.
Was the field of view tools removed? I remember being able to use it as shown and now its gone. I thought maybe the game files may have gotten corrupt, so i verified the game files through steam but everything was good.
Did you use it in the beta webmenu? You can activate it by adding -webmenu in the game properties in Steam.
I think this means the wheel will be able to get data from the game, but will there be also to possibility to display RRRE dashes in the display?
