I just cant gegt anything close to what i believe is realistic , thats all Ive got that in r3e, The new ffb in r3e is ................ I tested new against rf2, and im glad its nothing like it Andi
that's funny, rf2 with a sc2 dd is the pinnacle of ffb along with acc while r3e - as it stands now - it's completely unplayable but hey, to each their own I guess.
I agree with @SuperMonacoGP completely: FFB being very subjective in terms of style preference, I still find rF2 to be the pinnacle of FFB feel on a SC2 Pro wheelbase. In fact, it's the only real reason I play the sim...and it remains my main sim solely because the FFB is so immersive to me. I have been really looking forward to the FFB update incoming to R3E, but now I must say that I am a bit nervous I will be disappointed. Then again, if R3E could somehow be entirely different, but better than rF2, well that would be something incredible indeed. I will keep my fingers crossed. Any projected dates for the FFB update release? I suppose we can safely rule out June 1st at this point
I like the FFB now and I'm sure the update will be even better, no need to copy any other game, make it unique to RRE and with the likes of Alex Hodgkinson in the dev team I'd imagine it will be as realistic as these things can be.
My problem with RF2 is, 90% of the time I cannot even get on track. It seems that I need to set up a new wheel configuration every time I play the game, because the game can't phantom someone using a Fanatec CSR wheelbase with a Thrustmaster TH8A, and a set of Fanatec CSLE pedals. I've given up on the game.The FFB could be the best thing since sliced bread, but its pointless if I can't get on track to drive the damn thing. I'm glad that crap doesn't happen with R3E.
have you tested the new FFB, and don't you tell us anything ?, please tell us something, in what way do you feel it improved ?, what sensazuine do you have ?, what "steering wheel" do you use with the new FFB?
Similar experience, UI is an absolute mess, game randomly crashes, pairing problems. After my second Steam refund (I've given it chances) I will never go back
I'm sure a beta tester is not allowed to discus such matters in public. For me RaceRoom's FFB is awesome with a Bodnar. May I ask you what's wrong with it compared to other sims?
Once its released, I assume the beta testers would be able to go more indepth why they prefer R3E's FFB over RF2's. Until then, we wait for nice people to share info when they are allowed to.
I would like to ask, in regards to the new FFB system, will it be possible to fiddle with ini file and can anyone confirm if the engine vibrations and gear shift effects will stay or not? I like both Is this a top secret or too much to ask?
No fiddling. Everything that is adjustable is adjustable in game. The idea is to keep things simple for the end user. Can't say any more than that.
Is there likely to be a rework of the HUD eventually? Otterhud now has ranking/reputation for each driver visible, which is really useful. Or it would be if I didn`t drop down to 35fps in medium settings when I use it.
Not sure why you're getting such bad performance. I can run 60fps (fixed) all day long on a 1050ti card and an old i5. That's only at 1080p granted, but with mostly high settings and otterhud, Crewchief, secondmonitor and simhub all running a the same time.
