Due to a bug, Moritz Löhners time has not been registered on the leaderboard until after the closing time of the leaderboard. Since there is proof that he set the laptime when the competition was open, and since Urmas Riis dropped out of the top 17 after the fact, we decided to extend the grid by one car for the first race and invite both drivers.

Due to a last minute change, we will run with a slightly different schedule for the first race:
11:15 GMT - Free Practice - 30 minutes
11:45 GMT - Qualifying - 10 minutes
11:55 GMT - Race - 20 minutes

 

To all participants, please remember to respond to the invitation e-Mail. Otherwise you cannot drive in the event.

Just in case you didn't notice: The first round of invitations for Hungaroring has been sent out on Monday!

 

Invitatitions for the next event at Norisring are delayed by one day, since we didn't recieve the timetable yet.

 

Never mind, Mercedes was fast as usual and delivered the updated timetable directly:

10:15 - 10:45 GMT - Practice
10:40 GMT - Stream Start
10:45 - 10:55 GMT - Qualifying
10:55 - 11:15 GMT - Race

There is now a field called "Team" in your ingame driver profile. Please fill it out.

 

Since I recieved several protests from drivers about the way the penalties are handled, let me explain the system a bit:
The incident decisions are made by a team of stewards, that are not participating in the league, for each event, and not just by me. There is always at least 2 people who decide on every single ruling.

Of course, not every ruling will leave everyone happy. It is unavoidable. Suggestions are always appreciated to improve the system for future seasons and you can use the official channels, like the forums here, to give feedback. Like it has been done by some drivers already, we appreciate it and we take it into consideration for future seasons.

The procedures for the drivers are also explained in the rulebook. There is currently no way of appealing a penalty. This also means that drivers cannot go to Sector3, RaceRoom or Mercedes to appeal these decisions, like it was done or threatened by certain teams and drivers. All these attempts will lead to nothing, except causing a bad image for your own team or the championship. Funnily enough, they all wanted completely contradictory things, they only agreed that they were personally disadvantaged by the way things are handled...

Every driver should remember that by entering this championship, they have agreed to the rules of this competition, and these rules included this penalty system.

 

It's gone a bit quiet here, but yes, there is a race coming up. This sunday 11:40 GMT / 12:40 UK / 13:40 EU is the broadcast start for round 5 at Moscow. Our virtual racers vs. Daniel Juncadella.
