Am I just missing something or is there no in game chat feature? If there's not will one be implemented?
You can set a button to Chat. As example: I've set "c" to Chat. So if i press "c" i can write to the others. But that only works if you are on track. That you can chat in menu is definitly missing. I prefer a Chat like in Race07.^^
Ok - thanks!! Sorry I guess I should have been more clear, like in Iracing I have a button on my wheel to be able to talk to others in the room. Just out of respect for the other racer to be able to tell them if I'm passing on the right or left or if an unintentional bump has taken place I can apologize
Someone found how modify preset chat assigned to few buttons ? It will be good if we can have this possibility !
These are not functional yet unfortunately. Definitely something to look at for us as we develop MP further. Are you talking about in-game voice chat or the kind of "quick chat" options that was brought up above? In-game voice chat is not really in the plans right now.
I was talking about actual voice chat. It's too bad there's no plans for it I personally miss this feature in a racing game.
I think voice chat is fine pre and post race (in a lobby) but I detest chat during the race. I find it distracting and unnecessary.
Voice chat would be fine for me as long as it's strictly in the pits (hence not available when I'm on track) and if I can mute a few, some or all of them (pre & post race as well).
Even if you haven't got your own TS Server, you can join open/public servers with friends/teammates. I don't think I would like a chatroom with people talking more than necessary ("caution", "sorry", ...). I need silence, aside from the things I mentioned above, any talking is bad for my concentration (I even count in my head the amount of gears I change). I doubt that in an open game chatroom with lots of people it's possible to have this talk discipline...
