The Locked FAQ above is way way way out of date... Six years old... menu pictures do not match the current Steam setup. The FAQ mentions Server Ports, but doesn't say what ports the server uses, but say sit is critical to open them up. It shows ports 60001 etc, but is that the number or an example? ... so my issue is.... I can see my server when it comes up in the Server List .. so it shows up, but dumps me out when I try to log in,... the server ( for now is wide open... Where have I gone wrong...?
Can others join from outside? If you're running the dedi and the game on the same PC, have a look here https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...if-you-cannot-join-your-own-dedi-server.4672/ Oli
This is running on an Amazon AWS server. I have ports opened on the OS and the AWS interface.. from further study it acts like I don;t have UDP open for the return channel..
If I remember right, you should have three entries in the AWS security groups. Following this tutorial should help you find the issue Hope you get it running, it's a nice - and cheap - solution. Oli
It is up... no amount of tweaking the security profile would seem to make it work.. so I open up all ports and it now functions.. I had UDP and TCP open in both directions for 60000-600o3 with the intent of running one server. ..but it was still no love.. no I just removed all that and opened er up ..
