And I think your 10 Minutes races don't need that, but for league races, in my opinion, its a good idea. So let's make it chooseable fpr the Server Tools and everyone is happy.

I mean the same. gr.5 control with gamepad - this is not "GetReal". This suitable (for example) for amateur.
"Get real" profile should be really "Get real". Who want drive gr5 car with gamepad - should choose other profile.

 

Yes, only while your in the server.
It would be nice to be able to bring up stats from past races in your player profile.

 

"Get real" setting only involves the assists used....not the device being used.
Who would use a controller to drive a G5 or any other car?
Someone who can't afford a wheel or is a casual racer and doesn't want to spend $100s.
I've also raced with several pad users that can run circles around most wheel users.

At the end of the day....there video games.

 

For single player no isses but please not for multi or it will be wreckfest. Can you imagine getting people to drive in an orderly way for a whole lap? It will be like Brexit.

 

Haha, you definitely have to drive in a league or something else. So you can see how good racing works.

Not that I want this feature. It's used in all iracing rolling starts races online and asides from the odd meathead causing an incident its pretty successful.

Let's face it if you can't drive at a reduced race speed you shouldn't be racing lol
You could make the cars ghost during the formation lap to prevent incidents.

 

Most crashes occur when the field is bunched up and people outbrake themselves. See Redbullring or Spa turn 1 for more details.
Happy to have it in single player but in my opinion we gain nothing in multiplayer as we already have the rolling start starting before the last turn and the jump start for standing starts. A player controlled rolling start would give even more jump starts/chaos and no one has come up with a single benefit for doing it so why waste dev time?

My suggestion is the Achievements implementation on Steam

Achievements are part of Steam features and they can be cool and representative of a player. Achievs linked to achieving a Championship or an exploit, or simply to push the driver to discover all the facets of the game and to become a better driver would be a good idea.
Achievements for new content is a good showcase on Steam.
I really like that and a lot of Steam players too.

You are not trapped anywhere in the game. Just hit ESC and you will be free.

 

Less restricted external view. Current camera is annoying, as it limits the viewpoint quite lot (can't get view down to earth or very close to car for example). I like to have quick look of my car before i jump behind the wheel.

Aaand of course, dx11/new lightning. As per Ets2/Ats. Their latest screenshots from upcoming new lightsystem looks fantastic, really seems to transform their old game engine.

 

Have you used the numpad keys to look around the car? Zoom in and out etc

 

Sure, can't just adjust the viewpoint low enough for my taste for example. Of course there is free cam but it's not so simple to use with vr on.

 

Just one wish: Upgrade to DX11 or newer APIs
I am using a Pimax HMD and an RTX3080 and due to high CPU frametime from DX9 calls I am not able to get 90 Hz, even when CPU und GPU loads are low.
Usage of multicore-CPU and modern graphic effects should have a very high priority in 2021.

 

Best behavior with track. for example:

Curbs more realistics.
Asphalt changes.
tires particles in the track should affect a bit at least.

But i think this is the best simulato ( in fun) .

 

Let's see :
- A configurable virtual mirror (in size and if possible in FOV)
- Integrate the features of OtterHUD (esp. the radar widget is a must)
- Going from 2 to 3 ranked courses per reputation level
- Driving a McLaren F1 (vanilla or GTR)
