Check out this video of the new menu that is coming in the upcoming patch. Here is a small summary of the bigger changes that will be included in the next patch! Bye bye Green Orb The much-hated green orb has been finally completely removed from the game and the game icons! Upon starting the game, you will be sent directly into the RaceRoom Experience menu! New Sound Settings You can now adjust the volume for all the sound effects in the game. We have more sliders now so you can find your own balance. This is where to go if you want to lower the suspension squeeks effects, should you find them too high pitched and distracting. Visible Cars option In preparation for featuring bigger fields of cars, we have already implemented the visible cars feature, where you can control how many cars you want rendered around you. This is an alpha feature, which means 52 cars grids are not yet supported! Experience Switcher You can see the experience switcher at work in the video, this will allow you to switch seemlessly between Experiences from anywhere in the main menus. Optimisations We have worked hard on some back-end optimisations that will make the menu navigation much more responsive. Loading times are also shorter after this patch. Please note that the first time the track loads, it takes longer as the game needs to cache the shaders, which also means that every time visual settings are changed the cache will need to be rebuilt.
Everything looks so much sleeker and I love the switcher as well. I figure with the loading optimisation and the experience switcher I can run 1.5 extra races per day
The experience switcher looks so slick! Doubt I'll use it practically here, but might just switch it on and off for the cool of it!
Wow!!! When comes the patch, next week on thursday??? I can't wait and I hope after the patch my screen is not black.
Glad to see these being refreshed - unlike many other studios throughout gaming, Sector 3 seem open to admitting mistakes and working to constantly improve upon them, so that's much appreciated.
Serious question, with a future grid expansion to 52 cars and presumably a host of other game changing improvements already in the pipe lines, are we going to see changes to the minimum system requirements required to play R3E at it's best?
And don't forget to race in "close" communities where the banhammer will swiftly crush all the A. Senna wanna be pilot. FOR ODIN!
When connecting to a server, and after every stuff is loaded, why do i need to click? "Press any key to begin" Why am I not instantly in the pit?
